Import The Real JDM

I'm looking around because I'm seriuosly considering importing a car in the US. The only problem is I don't know the nessesary steps, procedures, or people to start with. I need the advice from someone who has done this before to help me out. What do I have to do to make it street legal in the US. iv'e seen numerous Skylines, s15's, and other cars that wheren't sold here but are here driving around. Again anyone who has been through the process advice would be aprreciated.

it depends on what you want to get and how bad you want it. There are a ton of people down here in florida that get all sorts of stuff in. I've seen starlets on the road, celica gt4s, S15s, all sorts of skylines, pulsars, Soarers, Aristos.

What do you want to bring in?

I'm into VIP, I can care less about a JDM blah blah blah...I would pick a US car that has the right look over one that's RHD...as long as its the right platform, sits low and has a good fitment. We're not talking Hondas here on this forum.

with that said, I see you're in TX...there's a bunch of RHD cars running around in Houston and Austin....hit one of them up to see how they did it.

you have a celica all-trac or a GT4? I thought that the GT4 was the name given to the ST205 model that we didn't get over here and everything available over here was knows as a celica all-trac (the st 165 and 185 models).

word. i can dig it if you are trying to get something that's not offered over here in any way, shape, or form but cats spending all this time/money to have a rhd version of something they coulda bought in the u.s. is pointless imo.

An owner of a Soarer lives across the street from me. Plenty of Aristos for sale here. I'd like to see more Y32's imported.

it seems a lot harder than it really is, but you can get almost anything done if you have enough money
