i just wanted to let you guys know,do not buy Kanyes new cd. I went and got it last night. The cd is crap!:saiyancrunks: I don't know what he was thinking trying to serve us this shit! ahhhhhh you cant even put this cd in the same category as hip-hop more like 80's pop.:signdammit:

havent heard the album and all the singles that came out on radio didnt catch my attention. its like some britney spears shit, pop culture. wheres hip hop is evolving to "crap hop". im just listening to underground hip hop shit now, they got sick shit and old westcoast music

any producer worth his merit can create the same kind of music, provided they had the access to some of the stuff kanye has. while he gets to play with mixers worth hundreds of thousands, in a studio environment worth millions, most producers are still at home grinding trying to get their hustle.

i wouldn't say he sucks, he has talent, but his talent is geared more towards the hustle aspect, than the artform. he has the hype behind him to push him to the top. millionaire boys club, his face is everywhere, you always hear about kanye this kanye that.

don't get me wrong, i give kanye mad props for making a grip with his hustle, i just recognize what it is, rather than buy the hype. aesthetically pleasing, not much content.

Well Kanye is very emotional person from what i can tell. I think its cause he's depressed,  He did loose is mother and broke up with his fiance all in the same year. So what if your artform is your hustle?

Everyone should download Chamillionaire's new mixtape, Mixtape Messiah 5.  Straight HEAT.  I never liked him but gave him a chance with Mixtape Messiah 4.  

Oh, and Lil' Wayne is overrated.

that's what i'm saying, it's not really artwork. the music industry is all about the money hustle, and grinding out whatever people want to listen to. as far as musical talent kanye = soulja boy to me. it's about all about what people want to hear and what sells, not necessarily what an artist's heart wants.

trust me, whatever kanye released, his label scrutinized and made sure everyone would jump on it. there's a reason it's a multibillion dollar industry. the sad part is the rap labels are all run by a bunch of old ass white people, and all these kids buy the hype making the rich richer, and the hoodlums even more idiotic. kanye falls in line, or else he wouldn't be making money.

people think they're listening to something "different" but really they're listening to what everyone and their mothers is listening to. lupe, common, kanye, and pharrell are all boys and their ish is really the same.

He's just not my cup of tea.  Like everyone says he is a little bitch.   I like the older hip hop stuff...like 90s and even some older 80s.   Pretty much everything pre-Eminem.    I didn't like Eminem at first but after listening to some of his lyrics he's ok in my book.    I still like new wave and some freestyle.   Collage, Stevie B, Lisa Lisa, Trinere, Debbie deb, George Lamond, lil suzy etc...even Johnny O..LOL      I like music but honestly "hip hop" has gone to shit.    I remember when everyone was bitching about what is real rap...east or west coast.     I admit east coast is more harsh and west coast is more laid back R&Bish...well back then atleast...now it's all the same wherever.    Love Coldplay. i think it's funny how a lot of people say that hip hop isn't any good these days.  hip hop is still holding it down, it's just that the media is pushing the shit to the masses and letting the really good stuff fall by the wayside.  to be honest, i actually prefer it that way.  let the sheep fall in line and make the talentless and talented-but-horrible "artists" (term used [I]very[/I] loosely) rich and famous.  i'll be more than happy to support the underdog.  it's unfortunate that the truly gifted guys out there aren't getting the respect they deserve on a grand scale, but at the end of the day these guys would much rather get the respect from the people who love hip hop than the fame and fortune because they themselves are doing it for the love of hip hop.

shit music is always a large part of every genre of music and you just have to take the extra time to search for the good stuff.  i personally love to search for the heaterz, new and old alike,  that blow my mind and renew my faith in music each and every time i listen to it.  do your homework, take a chance...hip hop is far from  not being good these days.

if you're tired of the shit you hear from american media...check out the uk hip hop and grime scene.  that shit is raw and those guys are [I]hungry[/I]!

T-pain uses it, its kind of is signature sound, he can also sing. He uses as a sort enhancement. Lil Wayne should just leave it alone. He is not as good as he things. And for Kayne the reason he used it is because of the distortion it gave his voice, symbolizing being heartbroken.

No it was my stab at humor, but thats where it's kinda going at least with main stream. Yea there are still some dudes holdin it down Nas,Kanye(pre new album), Jay and a few others but for the most part imo thats what it coming to. Also that new Soulja boy dance crap is a cancer to the genre aswell but thats just my opinion, so I am just gna stick to Ill bill and Atmosphere for the time being.
