What DoubleDIN

SOrry to start a BS thread about this, but I didnt want to bump an old thread for my specific topic. I would search, but what do I look for[IMG]http://my.is/forums/images/smilies/suspicious.gif[/IMG] 
 
Im am looking for a DoubleDIN that pretty much can do everything, besides drive my car. Is there one that can have the NAVI/DVD work, while your driving?
 
I no nothing about electronics and need your opinions.

Almost any of them can be bypassed to get that done. I have a Pioneer D3 in my can and it is Bypassed to play DVD's while I am driving. We had to move a wire to an empty whole in the harness to get it done. Took only a few minutes to do. If you look on line I am sure you can find instructions on it for any given unit.

eclipse 6620 ftw. alpine 505/203 are nice because of the imprint kit but i hear the nav docking has some issues.

there is your best answer! some one i am getting for my car! you can listen to something in the front while the passengers watch something different in the back!

I also have two 6620s in two of my cars and I love the unit. For the price It's a very nice unit. The screen is not shiney like Kenwood but their new screen make it possible to watch movies even in sunlight which is very cool but hey no remote which is not really needed. 
 
If you have a Toyota the 6620 is plug and play system and no adapters needed. and the navigation interface is same as Lexus and Toyota. 
 
I used to be big fan of Kenwood and I have that in my tow truck. I love the unit since their interface made for dummies and so easy to work with and this thing reads anything I mean anything. But I hated it when I can't do jack with out the remote.
 
I think I would get another 6620 if I needed a new unit.

Eclipse is the company that makes the OEM stuff for Toyota.  I had it in my previous car and I plan to have it in my current car.  Lets not forget how OEM it looks!

Also, it has a security feature that's pretty neat.  It uses any CD you want as the password.

My Pioneer does that, too. Unfortunately, the update discs for the Eclipse cost upwards of $300, but since you only need to upgrade every few years, it's cool. Personally, I'm not buying any new deck here until we get higher-res screens. I mean, all my currently-in-use phones have sharper screens than navi/dvd decks in the US. Full Wide VGA FTW!
