i learned this from some friends i met, they did it to their AE86, and EK and i asked them where they found out about it. and they said its back in the day when there was no tint. kinda like when people use socks for their intake. how its all cheap. something like that.

lol, the VW people started doing this years back and I can remember thinking about how ridiculous it sounded. ...but we're all broke anyway, so I gotta give him props for being creative on a budget. :shrug:
I remember long time ago people used yellow plastic food wrap to wrap their fog lights so it looks like they are yellow.
