trying to achieve this stance with out a stretch!

i know most of you guys are doing stretched. yes im going against what you guys like lol which is to correct the camber! the hell with the stance i want or even having a stretched tire. ill figure out a stance once the wheels get mounted on the car! I did test  my rear rim (20x10.5+29) on with the 275/30 and it fit pretty well with a little camber. So i guess 10MM more wouldnt hurt it with corrected camber and complete fender shave.im gona go 245/35/20 in the front and 285/30/20 in the rear that way at least i know im not stretched.

 I want even treadwear in the front and rear meaning i want to correct my camber. So this is a new topic i talking about now. i just edited my old post! i know i might get flamed about correcting my camber here lol but who would know more about cambering then the vip guys! so i decided to just reedit this post and not make another.

im picking up some nexen n3000 in those sizes above for 540..goot price ...yes??? LoL 

on a 01 gs300 i think i was told from SW alignment that the gs has its own camber adjustments. So i guess what i need to know is would i need a new camber kit to correct the camber or can the stock camber adjustment fix that. if no one knows its fine.

Im just trying to have even tread wear on all tires so i can have a nice extended life out of the tire.

so you bought wheels that required a stretch at the same drop you want on the same car and now you don't want to stretch?

"no two bodies can occupy the same space at the same time"

meaning if you don't want to stretch the tire to clear the fender you need to roll/pull the fenders to clear the tire. or camber. or a combination of both.

doesn't sound like you thought this out at all.

o i thought it through and i did research it! some people arnt runing a stretch with these wheels! previous owner of MY wheels currently has a 275 ont the rear and a 255 on the front, but his car wasnt dropped much. i mean im expecting some sort of stretch with the 235/35 in the front and most people are runn a 255 on the rear! and its slamed! so i figure i run a 265 and camber it a little!! to clear the rear fender im already completely shaving the rear! if i cant get the same stance i will just delete all the wheel gap

Shave more, stretch less. Shave less, stretch more. What more do you want us to tell you?

welll ill take the advise and see what happens! 1st when the wheels arrive on monday i will go ahead and mount the rear and see how much room i have! it stilll has the 275 tire on it!!

i know i posted on cl about this, but since it has a 275 on there might as well do a test fit.  im pretty sure youll need to run a 245 but im not posative.  just shave them down then fit them.

Do what you want...i don't stretch...check it 245 front and 275 in the rear...if you on't like it, den you go on wit cha bad self.

Truthfully, you won't achieve full flushness w/o some stretch and spacing (unless wheels have adequate offset), you'll just end up tucking...nuttin wrong wit it, but ppl like flushness.

I'm gonna tell you the silver GS that you want the similar stance on has 255 tires for the rears. His GS is his DD too. Like what I've said on other forums 235 front, 255 rears. make up your mind already. :p

Nothing wrong with dailying on a slight stretch.

i didnt  buy me rims from the guy who owns that silver GS in the top pic .another guy was selling the same ones in the same size and spec but had bigger tires on them.  so i bought them. i  get the wheels in tomorrow and right now the rears have 275s and the fronts have 255 mounted! ill see how the 275 fits tomorrow evening!

ooh if it doesnt and the fronts are still good just remount them on the rear, and u only have to buy 2 tires.

wrd. plenty of people drive on a stretch daily. just gotta watch what you're doing when you're driving and avoid kirby at all costs.

man those 255s on the silver GS doesnt look like he stretched much! but on another GS i saw the same rims on  clublexus looks like he has a bigger stretch with 255s! currently the rear rims i have got a 275 and i can tell that even the 275 was a little stretcehd lol its a toyo prox  t1r i think. i know differ tires give differ stretches


AND YES KIRBY IS A FUCKING NIGHTMARE!!

Also keep in mind different tire brands run in different sizes/fitments as well.

I think you need to put your wheels on your car and just look at it.

Then decide what tire you need.

im sure lets say widebodyQ or pancakes have put a few different sizes on their whips before deciding.

like trying on shoes. you try on a few pair to see how they fit. well... me if i see a pair i like i buy them and make them fit. guess the same goes for wheels. =P and tires.

good luck it won't be a stretch and it won't fit VIP you won't be able to go as low but whatever works for you...

Also, without some stretch, you just can't get them really "flush."

Would a mere fender shave be enough for a 20 x 10.5 +18 in the rear?
