New member, Pics of my E46 3series slammed on MAE's

I've been trolling the boards for a while and have alwasy been a fan of big japanese sedans fixed the bippu way. I've been building cars since 93 and have gone through 10 cars, (Honda's, Toyota's, and BMW's)...I've always done up my rides to emulate simple and clean, never been a fan of crazy body kits or anything really flashy, i just like cars that look stock, dumped to the floor, and with the clean and simple syle. My current car is this BMW 325i. in the past 3 years, its gone through 2 body kits, 10 sets of wheels (MAE's are #10) and two colors...Its been though a couple of different looks, but now after mounting the MAE's, its looking a little closer to the bippu influence. i find myself wanting to tint the windows lightly and picking up a set of window visors and rear roof spoiler. I'm friends with a couple of active members ont his board, namely uncle el, and ron s. from team supastar, and i thought id share my ride with you folks....I'm open to both good and bad comments..=) Enjoy the pics...

I think the color takes away from the overall flow of the car, but to each his own. its not like its an eye soar or anything like that it just strays from the bippu look IMO, but I really like the wheels on that car. do you have pics of the other 9 sets on your ride?

Yep, i agree the color strays away from the bippu look, its too damn bright...lol its the 2001 M3 Laguna Seca Blue..To be more inline wit the bippu look, the car needs to be darker...Glad u like the wheels...the other set of wheels were:

Hamann HM2's
Hartge Classic
DPE R05 Version S (silver)
DPE R10 (gold)
BMW CSL M3 replica wheels
BMW ZHP M wheels

the other 5 wheels were normal stock 17 and 18 inch wheels that i borrowed or bought for the time being while i was deciding what wheels to get.

thanks, i see your have the E39 5'er, great cars to mod...your car and mine are they last of the pretty old school bmw's.... ;)

Im definitely liking it with the gold wheels and the current ones.

thanks, i like the gold DPE's too, it had a nice "track" look to it...The thing that was missing from them was a mesh pattern. if those wheels were mesh, instead of ten spoke I probably would have kept them.

ive always loved the giovanna maes! as others said, it doesn't flow with the blue color but thats not something you can help, well you can if you get a paint job but its fine the way it is! i love it!

the wheels. are okay.

but it think IMO. its' the Smoke-ish Tailights & headlights.

actually my car is custom painted laguna seca blue...It came silver from the factory...lol....and the rims are actually the authentic MAE's, giovanna version came after these when giovanna supposedly bought the rights and patent for these wheels from MAE...weird huh?

they were dpe R10's, but yes they did look sorta like Kinesis...=)
