came for some knowledge
Sorry to disappoint, but i think all the NOOB "VIP" names were taken.
Been in love with Honda/Acura for years but thanks to thieves I am finally looking to broaden my automotive horizon. I love the style of VIP cars and think it is making a pretty smooth transition from Japan to America. The fact that everything is expensive and few replicas make this style more exclusive which is very appealing to me.
So as i search for the perfect platform to start my VIP styled build, and get out of the Honda scene for good, please show me the ropes and try to tolerate my ignorance toward your lifestyle.

i will definitely be doing some reading. there is a lot about these cars that is new to me. there is too much that is new... first task will be to narrow my search down to a few platforms i would consider for my next build. then i can really pick up some useful information. I'd rather know a lot about a little, as opposed to knowing a little about a lot.

Kinda ballin' on a budget homie! I like the older Q45's though they don't look like much stock. But isn't that the fun part?
Before I get hell bent on anything I need to sell my Integra. OR I could just go park it at any one of Houston's many malls... Top Flight Security of the world Craig!!!

You should get a 98 Protege, you'll get mad respect!
Just kidding of course. Welcome to the boards - you sound like you're in the right frame of mind already, so I think you'll have a good time.

Welcome. The best thing I usually tell newbs to do is just sit back and listen for a few weeks or even a month. Lots of the questions you have early on have been answered alot of times already. Check out all the stickies as well. There is so much to this style that it takes a long time to grasp it all. I would say it takes most people 3-4 months to fully understand the basics

That process has already been set into motion. Car is for sale. Might take a while, but I'd rather wait out an offer close to my asking price than deal with parting everything out. Talk about a PITA!
I test drove a car the other day that is considered an actual VIP platform and it felt so right. Made me wanna throw a suit on, even in its stock form... BALLIN!

Yeah man. Bought the car before I was making money to start the project... Definitely not like modding a Honda!
Now I am making good money and not really interested in building this car. Maybe I just need to get re-motivated

do some mods, won't be boring for long. you've been trying to sell it forever, might as well give it a shot.

usually only takes 1 or 2 mods to kick start the build again. I tried to sell my GS a few times already...
