Cousins 07 Camry

wants to go VIP but needs new rims and maybe more slam.So far this is what he has what you think?

Its a good platform. Just needs a looooong way to go. Maybe some flush offsets, a slam that could only be achieved by bags, shoot a dual tip exhaust to the sky, some curtains for those 4 windows, and you're in business.

He says he doesn't like the curtains right now.His car looks lower than in the pic.He just wants to go 1-2inches lower.He was thinking about air runner or some other brand bags but I told him to get rims with better offsets and a tire stretch.As of now I know he's the only one trying to go VIP thanks to me.Maybe coilovers will help in height?

If he decides to go with coils I would highly recommend something with FULL HEIGHT adjustment so he can rest the chassis on the ground!

hahaha Lexus Soarer you mean like the ones that let you slam it all the way right?He'snot gonna add a kit just because it looks pretty stock.Well some do.Would the Solar ones fit right?He just need 18'sdeep dish i say with a stretch and a slam.Our confusion is the camber arms.

yea those thai's and malaysians do camry's right. but then again the different body they have over there is much nicer than the USDM specs.

Exactly thats why he wants to drop it more, get maybe a flat style VIP muffler,deep dish rims i think the works or SSR no sure.He's gonna replace the ricer things he has on.

I say kit it, slam it, wheels, and it'll be magic.

I say sell it and use the money to buy a traditional platform.......

The car looks decent though inside and out looks more luxury and japanese then sport.

So would you considered them too examples above to be "VIP" or "VIPstyled"?
Because one to me looks sporty/tunerish and the other looks like a dropped ar w/ wheels............bottome line if I seen those pull up I wouldn't be liek damn those look baller/Pimp or be like that person must be import........

but in my opinion, some cars arent ment to look vip styled, such as the current camry.
It just won't look good, PERIOD.

But the new avalons are dope

The new Avalons are fuckin gorgeous. I absolutely love the styling.

Those two Camrys from overseas look great - good example of what your cuz can do. They have wheels that look good without a lot of lip, they're slammed, they have tasteful touches.

That's all you really need, forget about "Vip"

It all depends on the person looking at it.I think it can pull it off though.

Yes. Basically the Tein Basics and SS will only let you drop it so much before the the shock body runs out of thread. Dampers like Stance and Megan come with full height adjustable coils so there is enough thread on the shock body to let the car rest on the ground if you wanted to. Look it up and you'll see the difference. But this is why I would rather run air. So I can be low and raise it up when I need to get up my driveway. But yeah, clean Thai Camrys. Definitely follow their lead.

There is not a VIP but not the real thing. Either it is or their isn't.  And stretching the tires don't make it VIP either.

THe company that makes the front lip is called LX-MODE from Japan. The is kit is very subtle and simplistic all around. It also comes with a Sport Mesh Grille that looks similar to the USDM SE grille (not pictured) They sell the complete kit through a couple Toyota Dealers here in SoCal (i.e. Carson Toyota, etc).

have u seen fattys ride for sale.  with saving the money he could buy that and keep the camry for daily.  im trying to convince myself not to buy it.

Im half asleep but I bet he would buy the lip.Only reason why he might not go VIP anymore is because if he gets coilovers he wont have enough for rims.He wants coils but he wants to keep the rims he gots too all of the sudden.I dunno he's wierd hahaha but we'll see what we get after i show him that red one.

tell him he has to spend some money plain and simple.  I don't think you can do this style of modification without spending money.  If he's afraid to spend then this may not be the direction he wants to take his car.  I'm sure there are ways to make a car look vip on a budget but when that's all said and done haters will hate.

thats pretty nice...never liked that front bumper tho.

megan racing makes a full coilover system for the 07 up camry. when completely dumped (without changing the area of play for the springs) the car will be around 5inches off the ground. not low by vip standards, but pretty low for a camry.

there are a couple companies too  that make a lip kit. like trojan said, LXmode made a lip for it and now an american company is making one too  EXTREME DIMENSIONS.

rims and fitment wise, the most a member on toyotanation has gone is 19x9.5 in the rear with a 35 offset which was already flush with the fender. so far the easiest and simplest offset combo is 19x8.5 +35f, 19x9.5 +35r, with fender rolling in the rear (coilover setup)
