too bad they are illegal in California! I was about to buy some online, but I heard some people where getting arrested for buying them. :signdammit:

damn, kinda sad watching that mouse get tore up. Piranhas are vicious, Piranhas reminds me of that one scene in wildboys.

Piranhas are not vicious. In the wild they don't even attack stuff like they do in captivity. Starving fish to get them to eat a mouse is what you are seeing. Live animals are like 5% of their actual diet. 

Piranhas are really just scavengers, in the wild they eat dead/dying animals, small fish, etc. If you trail your fingers in the water, yes, they will come nibble it to see if it's food. They won't straight up attack your hands for no reason. 

You can even get them off 'live food' and get them eating hot dogs, fish pellets, market shrimp, etc. 

As for them being illegal in Ca, I'm not so sure, but I'd have to research it before I give a definite answer.

yeah be careful, i gave dennis the link to buy them back east.  but i heard dont do it cuz the feds are going through the shops records and busting CA customers.  one of our guys bought 12 from them over a year ago but he came out clean.

Yeah well...there are lots of things that people think about fish and how 'aggressive' they are...when they are totally wrong. Take something out of context, and run with it, and that's how bans against fish, animals, guns, happen...people only look at the extreme 'bad' in it, and not at anything else...
