UAS - Above right height PSI

Just curious what the MAX psi you let into your UAS strut bags when trying to clear really steep drive ways, bumps etc.. 
 
my car weight is roughly 3600 lb.
 
psi ride height is 95-100 f, 80-85 r. 
also using the oldschool double convoluted UAS strutbags
 
the most i filled the bags is 115 psi. the front lifted only a few inches but the rear looked like a monster truck suspension. excellent clearance on the rear.
 
Anyone go higher than 115 psi?

I beleive the bags are rated for 110 PSI.. that what my bag reads on them.. not to excede 110psi..

Zack at UAS told me the bags are rated for 200 psi even though they say 110 on them. He said it had something to do with the Japanese market. Not sure on the details but I never go past 150 anyway.

man i let my mom use my GS riding at 150psi.

wow 150. thats kinda cool to know that these bags take it..  the most i've seen are some 300c owners running 120.

whats mininum PSI to raise a car anyways?

i think it all depends on the car and how its mounted on the strut.for the fronts of mines,it doesnt raise up until 50ish psi.

i run my max at like 142 143 to go into work parking lot. and when i go home i give it what ever it lets me pump in them and let it sit all night every night and when i get in my car in the morning i hit the up button again if it moves that means i have a leak. havent had a problem with my bags and i been having them on about 5- 6 months

wow! i drive in NY with front set at 115-120 psi and the rear at 55-60psi Airrunner basic. I have noticed that with the cold temperatures we have been having my front leaks down after two weeks standstill. Is that normal? the back stays the same. Im assuming its due to the weight distribution of my car.

I believe you are asking about maintenance. If so, Airrunner recommends 10psi maximum when working on a car.. Please clarify your question.

That is correct.  When we had the bags Certified they required a 4:1 saftey rating for operating pressure vs. burst pressure, hence why we put 110 on them.  Also the 110 psi rating is higher then the firestone 100 psi rating.   I recommend keeping 200 psi or less inside the bag so that you will have over a 2:1 saftey rating.

I was told the max psi the bag could take was 500 psi each bag ! prior to blowing
 
I show on my gauge 165 each bag when getting into driveways and things but average driving 125ish

my drive height is approx 80-90 its pretty low but i like it.

I let mine go to 140 sometimes.


I ride my rears with 55-60 very low but my front I cant roll lower than 90 psi with out the upper control arm hitting.

I have no gauges :(

I let my air go full up to clear driveways. That's 200psi.

thats exactly what happens to my GS.

i dont have UAS bags, but i know what you mean. my setup said not to exceed 120psi ride height. but at that height its still a lil low. i called in to ask and a representative told me with no hesistation, that i can ride at 150 easily.

I drive at 125 and 135 sometimes. ...

Actually it depends on the load on the bag.  That is determined suspension style (If the strut mounts to the spindle vs. lower control arm) and also the weight of the vehicle.

A lighter vehicle, say an IS300, who's struts mount to the lower control arm will take more PSI to lift then a heavier vehicle, say a Q45 with the struts mount to the spindle.  The IS has more leverage on the suspension so it will take more pressure to lift, but, usually you will have more travel at the wheels.

Ahh gotcha ... I have been the first with the UAS on the lexus gs up north ... and been holding up great
