Y33: Wheel question.

I can get a set of 18's, 18X9.5 +12, for $400. I know, not a crazy fitment. But I figure it will be a good cheap wheel to hold me over until I build up my account for some nice 19's. I know the offset is good, but I'm not sure with it only being 9.5 wide. I would like your opinions.

the offsets aren't bad either...just not real aggressive...the style of the wheel is going to be the determining factor.

It's a fairly basic five spoke. The lip measures 3", but the spokes do come out a little. So a little "fake lip" as I like to call it. I don't want to say the brand as I will get laughed at. But for the price it would be retarded to say no.

as for the wheels, if your embarrassed to say the name how are you going to roll on them??  as soon as you post pics everyone will know what they are right?

I'm about 30-40min out.

I'm going to de sticker them and paint the center caps. I just don't want to roll on my current tires after winter. Don't want to ruin them. And all my money for a while is going into my Mirage.

I'd pick them up and sell them on 240sx forum or something and make some cash, other wise my opinion would be a "NO", save money for the wheels you really like

I can't find fuck all up here and I can't afford decent wheels + shipping right now. I don't want to roll on snow tires after winter. And I don't want to piss money away on some 17" tires I will prob use for a few months. At least these I could roll on for a few months and then flip them.

but after you get winter tires on those you'll be into them for more than you could probably get a cheap set of stockers w/ winter tires, or just tires etc....LMK if you are close to Bradley Intl and are willing to check out a set of rims and tires for me.  Thanks

Already have the winters on the stock 17's. These would be for a few months after the snow goes away.

Oh, and you should be able to get some used tires cheap and just roll on those until you can get the wheels you really want etc.. GL

How far outside of Hartford are you?  I;m located in Bristol.  Nice to see some local members!

for $400 they would be fine. not super baller, but better then just stock. sportmaxes will suit you fine since you aren't tracking your ride!
