What are you reading?

Well guys, not sure how many of you like to sit down and read a good book but I just wanted to see what everyone is reading right now. I am getting done with a few books and don't really know what to read next.

So here is what I am reading.

Non-Fiction:  "Guns, Germs, and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies" by Jared Diamond

Fiction: "The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle" by Murakami Haruki

what are you guys reading?

A subject that I'm familiar with. If you like fiction then read a few of Dan Browns' books. Angels and Demons (which I believe is a prequel to The Da Vinci Code) and Deception point I thought these were both great books. I may be a bit biased sinced now a days Dan Brown has been my favorite author.

Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. 

I WAS reading it, but now am listening to it on mp3, MUCH easier to do when I'm at work lol. 

The last non-fiction book I read was titled Pol Pot.

I have read all the Dan Brown books a few years ago. They were pretty good reads. Really quick and hard to put down.

I have heard some good things about the Wheel of Time series. Good call on the mp3 version. Sometimes audiobooks are the way to go. I might have to check it out.

nothing at the moment but I was sworn to be addicted to those TWILIGHT series if I ever pick one up and read it.. :pat:

my wife has read all 4 books in 2-3 weeks even with her working double shifts at a hospital

Right now I'm reading The Zombie Survival Guide because I got it for Christmas.

Also, House of Leaves, White Dragon, and Nightmares & Dreamscapes.

I'm not quite ready to sit down and just read for very long yet, after finishing off The Dark Tower by Stephen King, reading the last three books consecutively.

I haven't read a good book in a while...

Last book i read was Robert McCammon's Swan Song...and that was Ages ago.

I also work in a hospital but work day shift (7a-7p).  Thats 12 hours and I get crazy tired by the end of the day.  I can't imagine how your wife feels doing double shift.  What are the hours of double shift anyway??  When was the last time you guys had sex??  geez...

Man, I havent read a book since Da Vinci Code.  Its really hard for me to find time to just relax with a good book.

Anyone have any suggestions?

What kind of stuff do you like to read. If you liked Da Vinci Code I think you would enjoy Dan Brown's other books as well. 

If you like Sci-Fi I would recommend Rollback by Robert J. Sawyer. It is an awesome near-future sci-fi novel that is a quick read.

What are some good mafia/yakuza books? haha... Seriously
The last book i was "Born to Steal" some wallstreet shit.

There was a published FBI Mafia Blacklist book, it was pretty interesting, but it was just a bunch of Cossa Nostra member files. 
 
There was that one Yakuza book written by that lady...
 
There are plenty of  Cossa Nostra (sp?) books...just hit up your local Borders. 
 
I read one a while back about IA and that big bust in the 80's? in the NY police...it was pretty crazy. It was a retelling of a couple of IA's investigations and busting the corruption out of the precincts.

Now these look like something I might be interested in.  I read "seven habits of highly effective people" in highschool and it does give a lot of insight on getting into good habits.  This year im really focused on expanding my business and just making myself a better overall person and business man.  What is the "first billion is the hardest" about?  and who is it by,...the title is intriguing.

Its by T-boone Pickens  not my fav. business man,  but he stays mostly away from the global warming hype in the book its worth reading .
