grrr... noobish Q. Y33 fog is H3, correct?

i bought a plug and play HID kit and was trying to install it today... but the bulb would not "twist and lock" as expected. (it just twirled around, w/o locking into place)

the guy i purchased this kit from swore that they were H3, and I was pretty sure that my fogs were H3

anyone have similar issues when putting HID into their Y33 fogs?

thanks

btw, i was already planning to do some research in a sec on what H3 bulbs look like to compare.

Yes Y33s use h3 fogs. I am using h3c bulbs which are shorter then the the h3 xenon bulbs. The bulbs do not twist in. They are held by a spring.

:pat: okay, i saw that silver spring thingie...

had to squeeze it to get the first one out.

some how, i thought the HID one would twist right in. (doh')

did you drill holes to run the wires through the cover? or did you forgo the dust cap?

I forget how I did it . I think I might of made hole on cover and put some rtv around the hole to make sure its sealed.
