y33 water pump

so here we go.
 
my 2000 q45 is just about to hit 60k and i notcied after i changed the radiator fluid that i had a leak after start ups.so i went and got the radiator pressure checked.no leaks.then the mechanic says it might be the water pump cuz it looks like its leaking from the front.so now i have to change the water pump....and before allthis i changed oil ,mobil 1 and flushed and drained tranny.and fan clutch was going so i got that changed also.would the fan clutch broken be the cause for the leaking water pump.when say leak i mean a couple of drops maybe as big as a size 5 foot.
here are my questions.
 
should i go to the dealer for water pump change?
or go to a regualr shop that i been going to for years on other cars i'vbe owned?that works on basicaully every car? i know these are dumb ?s but i just never owned a y33 and want to maintain it well.i there anything i need to get looked at or changed when i get ater pump changed???:pat:this sucks its taking money away from my coilover purchase..bummer

i have a 2000 Anniversary edition, 147K miles.  :shrug:
 
running very well. I love this car

Water pump is no big deal...any competent mechanic can do it.  I would take it to your trusted mechanic as long it'll save you money.  I just changed my belts today and had full access to it after about 30 minutes of moving random BS out of the way.  I would say do it yourself if Nissan engines weren't notorious for it being a pain in the ass to bleed air out of the cooling system.

 okay cuz my mechanic said 300 oem parts and labor included.hope thats what it goes for.
 
 
i bought my car missing the headlights and hood and grille.3500.put 2500 into it so far.

$300 doesn't sound bad at all.
