Motorcyclist lands in back seat of van after crash

By Mindy Blake - bio | email

It's amazing a motorcyclist is alive after crashing through a minivan window and landing in the back seat.

Police say the motorcycle was headed west on Aviation Parkway just before 2 p.m. Thursday when a minivan turned in front if it.

The motorcycle slammed into van's sliding side door, and sent the driver into the van.

Tucson police say the van driver continued to drive about 200 yards before pulling over.

The motorcyclist broke his wrists and hurt his knee.

He was wearing a helmet.

:saiyancrunks: He's been in surgery since yesterday, with follow up surgeries scheduled for today.

It's true that can happen, but it sounds like he's mostly Ok? I love bikes, but haven't hand one in 13-14 years, itching to get one again though. But this is the kind of thing which keeps me from doing it.

Yeah funny thing is every friend I know that has had a bike has crashed. broken thumbs, strips of skin removed, and now the possibility of not being able to do sporting events. He also is an active drifter. I won't know the details til I talk to his family so far it's been word of mouth through other friends.

WOW, sorry to hear this bro. I hope your friend makes a full recovery and is able to do all he was intended for. I to own a bike, it's a busa, however I have been toying with the idea of selling it or trading it in for a cruising bike.

Much Respect.

Be Blessed.
