Full Face Vs. Full Reverse

I'd like to know the differences and if there is any advantages to each type.    Reason I ask is because on Weds sight I was looking at the Kranze LXZ and can't really see much of a difference between the two types.   TIA

what do you mean full face vs. full reverse? A full face is a full face. Absoloootely 1500000% full face is full face(indian voice like russell peters)
 
and a full reverse. Im guessing you are talking about the barrell.
 
that is when the lip is flat.
 
step lip is the other option to full reverse.

I think the difference is one is concave and the other is flat spoked.   Anyways just trying to figure out the difference specifically these rims.

Looking at the specs it seems the FR face can't support big brakes since they are all low disk.    What does WS-Lo mean?

That's definitely a reversed lip.

WS-Lo is just a very low disc = more lip and very little brake clearance.  Some Kranze have 3 disc choices others have 4.  

FF = flat face
FR = concave

I don't think I have seen any Kranze with stepped lips.  Note that the LXZ in 20s have a slightly different flange.  The flange is flat with a small step instead of rolled like most wheels you see.

They are refering to the face.  Your correct, FF = flat face and FR is concaved.  You can run either or front and back or mix them up

so does that mean you can't run the concaved ones if you have big brakes at all since they are all WS-lo or Lo.    Anyways good info...thanks

Thats correct but you can always run spacers if needed :shrug: 
 
I believe Grant had FR's all around when he had those rims

there is no "reverse" involved. it's a front (fr) and rear (ff, i have no idea why but i've seen it before iirc) disk. the fr is available in ws-lo/s-lo offsets to provide decent lip and brake clearance. the ff provides less brake clearance but the lo ff disk has more lip than the s-lo fr disk.

*edit - ooor... now that i remember where i have seen ff/fr (front engine/fwd, front engine/rwd) it probably has something to do with that.
