jdm y33 coilovers question

im trying to get some coilovers from japan and they asked me if my caliper size is 12? or 14? i have a 1997 q45t and i think my ft caliper bolts are 21mm bolt ???? or maybe there asking bout the rear ....do any of you guys know what there talkin bout the difference between jdm and us model coilover????

the size is for the front calipers.  when i got my JICs they asked which size i had as well.  i measured it as best as i could at the time and went with the smaller size.  i figure if it's too small i can always have it machined out the extra couple of mm's.  but, i'd do it properly and measure it (i just don't have a place to work on my car because my apt complex frowns upon people working on their cars in the parking lot).

there are a few different model y33's in japan...we only have one, the fgy33 v8 which has a 14mm (from what i can remember)...the 12mm bolt can be found on the v6 cima's...

Bolt sizes are not measured by what socket size it takes to get it off.  It's a measure of the diameter of the bolt itself (the part that is threaded). Take the bolt out and either meaure it or take it to a hardware store and ask what size it is/use the bolt size guide that all hardware stores have (including Lowe's and Home Depot).

you can use a digital caliper to measure.

werd...I'm actually converting to Y32 coils and they take the 12mm bolts so I have been dealing with these varying sized bolts....definately the 14mm on the Y33

co-sign 14MM and you have to look for the number 14 and an "O" with a slash in it  when you search
