Heads up on some 20" Kranze Borphes for $1300 with tires

Just letting people know that there is a pretty good deal on CL.

This guy on CL is trying to sell some 20" Kranze Borphes in good condition except for a small bend on one of the front rims.    The offsets are high but this is still cheap for the budget builder for 20".    These can be like training wheels before buying nicer and more aggressive later on.  He's located in Virginia.

He's lowered the price from $1700 to $1300.

yeah i know....but for someone to get as like training wheels it's perfect....Atleast for a LS or GS it would be a nice temporary.    It's also nice to know that it can clear the brakes on the Lexus.

For this price, you can rock some spacers to get them more flush, or buy new outter barrels, and make the lips bigger. People on CL might not go as low or as wide, but most of them keep their wheels in pristine condition. Don't knock it without looking at all your options.

where do u get barrels from? that would be a good idea.

even if it isn't the low enough offset these are still cheap to roll on say like a girlfriends lexus or infiniti without the hassle of cambering and stretch tire and whatever....look how good it looks on the guys GS.   this even comes with somewhat decent tires!!

Perhaps you could ship them to Weds in Japan to have them re-assembled with new barrels.

They won't do it.  They want you to buy new wheels.  Same goes with just about every Japanese wheel company

There are other aftermarket companies that will make you barrels. I've asked about this before, I think you, Agim, or SiknLow, had shown me a website that does it.

u trippin, barrels aint easy to get nor cheap.....if its lik that wouldnt u see more people change barrels instead of getting rid of there rims to go lower offset or wider?
 
and you worried about a 90k? makes me wonder what kinda person u r, just like the scary customers at my work thats always worried about there cars... :pat:

Not worried about 90k, it's the cracks in my timing belt I'm more worried about. Just like we told that dude Unknown07, maintenance comes before mods....
 
Barrels might not be as easy or cheap to come by as buying new rims, but what happens when those rims are rare, discontinued, and aren't in the perfect size you want? You just going to make do, or work them to your advantage? You CAN get new barrels from certain companies. You CAN'T order discontinued rims now can ya?
 
Anyways, this is still a great price for those wheels. You can make them work if you want to.
