JZX90 MarkII build thread

Here's my build thread for my Toyota JZX90 MarkII Tourer-V
Currently it's built for track and occasional drift, bur with minor modification it can become VIPstyle (also removing all graphics will be required for that)

I ordered the car in August 2006 after selling my Nissan Sil80 drift car.
After 8 weeks it rolled off the boat in Amsterdam.

Here she is, in all her raised glory (boat people don't take bodykits in mind when loading / unloading)

After lowering her back to normal heights and giving her a good wash

I was contacted by organisers of the biggest car event in The Netherlands that they wanted the car on display there, so I had to hurry to get her ready. I gave the badly curbed wheels a good quick paint-over, slapped some simple graphics on, and drove her to the show on dealer plates.

And here is a pic of the car on the show. It was a big crowd-pleaser, as no one knew what type of car it was.

Then s**t hit the fan... a big storm hit Holland, and my car was damaged badly by flying debris.
So off to the paintshop

Before the boot was finished I set off to friends of mine. They welded seatframes for me for a set of TRD sport seats

Then, back home to finish the boot build

Then came the time to get rid of the awful looking fake wood plastic bits,a nd paint them in the color of the car

And that was the last time the car was green..... off to the paintshop again, this time for a new coat.

A small sticker was delivered

The green bits in the interior didn't match the exterior, so I painted those again

Oh, and how my girl likes the MarkII :giggity:

The standard bulbs in the tinted lights were too dim to be safe, so I got these

I cracked open the light units, took out the stock fitments, and made brackets for four LED strips

And the difference can be easily seen

Then..... I ordered this:

And an A'PEXi PowerFC

I also polished the rocker covers to a mirror finish

Taking off the stock turbochargers leaves a big gap

And with everything fitted:

Currently pushing 427 rwhp (511 at the crank)

And this is how she stands now

Currently waiting for new wheels, that I got with the help of a new sponsor.

Nice build so far, but I concur. I would definetly take off the stickers.

I would also get different rims with a nice lip and lower her down more Just my humble opinion.

I've tried going lower, but the Dutch road association has the ugly habit of throwing speed bumps everywhere. And insanely high ones at that.
So this is the lowest I can go (and with most bumps, I still get scrapage of the front bumper and Downpipe/exhaust).
I don't want airride, as I take her onto the track too, and I've spent a small fortune on suspension upgrades and bracings, and I don't want airbags ruining the ride.

New wheels will come very soon, with a nice lip.

Been busy lately, so haven't been here for a while.

Installed my new clutch: HKS GD-Pro triple plate

Cleanup and repaint of engine parts (polished radiator hose not yet installed)

Fitted big brake kit (355x32mm discs and 6 pot calipers)

New GReddy intercooler

Fitted clear headlights / 6000K HID's

Removed all graphics from the car and I wrapped the bootlid and bonnet in silver carbon.

Hey I like your car. I have a JZX90 Mark 11 as well. Where did you get the clear headlights from? Thanks bro.. appreciate it. I have been searching for clear headlights for my Mark 11 since about a year ago.
