Getting my is300 runnin..

Hello everyone, glad to be back with you all. Used to have an Infinity J30 & now ive switched over to Lexus :) 

Im not too sure if any of you might have some knowledge on working with the mechanics of an IS300 engine but perhaps one of you might have worked on one. Ok..so this is the situation. I had some bent valves on my IS..soo..i got those replaced, took the head to the machine shop and had the work done on it. I put it back together and made sure all the connections wer correctly connected, triple checked all the wiring, bolts, timing belt checks...lets just say i made sure all things got put together properly. - i only have One problem here..im sure you know what the 'air flow meter' is and where it goes. Im missing the "air box" wer the air flow meter goes into...and im not sure if the engine is getting too much air or what But...in any other car even if the air box is missing or even if the radiator isnt hooked up you could still turn the car on!..but ..sadly i dont know if it works differently on the luxury cars.

If anyone has any experience in swapping engines, or working on these lexus stock engines that might know anything to which im talking about id be supremely grateful. 

If your asking yourself "why dont u just buy the damn air box.."..well i dont have 300 bucks right now & ive tried looking in junk yards  aswell as ebay. Ive gone to search Lexus forums but i cant find anything on this particular problem.

if everything is connected from the throttle body to the air flow meter, then ur good.. just make sure no air leak between those two points, or else it'll give you a false reading and it wont run rite..
 
anything missing before the meter wont prevent it from starting..
