anyone have pics of a sec. gen. GS with 19x10 or 20x10 upfront???????

Widebody thats not what I meant.......I want to see a GS with 19x10 upfront, Or 20x10 upfront. Not a 19/20 combo.

A 10" will stick out ; you'll need a significant pull or perhaps even a flare.

Camber and tire stretch will help. You can only go inboard so far on the front of the 2GS
due to the suspension upright that connects the upper & lower A-arms.

I've been running various 20x9.5" wheels on the front of my 2GS for many
years- now have 21x9.5 up there (21x11.5" out back)

to get the 10 wide up front it will be really hard to get it fitted with out a aggressive pull. Chrispy has the link to pics of my set up. its a 19x10-25  225/35 nitto nt555. stock camber

^^not to mention..u pretty much have to be on air to make it look right..otherwise..u wont be able to turn

Just curious, what's the minimum offset to clear the front suspension with a 10 inch wide wheel in front? I know Shane is running -25 but how much room is there?

19x8.5 +22 high disk clears with 1" wheels turned full lock.

Disk type has nothing to do with strut clearance only width and offset. Disk clearance is only for calipers.

U guys sure. That there is not a lot of room for a 10 inch wide in the front!?!? I have a 9.5 +30 offset with big ass 245 width tires and i have plenty of room inboard and out. I actually plan on running 225 this summer and having 15 mil spacers. I m pretty that if i bought 10 inch wide wheels that mimicked this effective offset(wich i eventuall plan to do) i would not have any shock or knuckle clearance issues. Iin fact my other wheels were 9.5 +40!  I am no expert but i am pretty sure there wont be any problems. Its all in the offset. Use that wheel offset calculator thingy to ensure proper fitment

and without offset numbers who gives a fuck how wide a rim is in front? a 19x10+50 and 19x10-30 will be hella different.

If you can fit 9.5 +40, 10 +34 and lower will give the same and more clearance the lower you go in offset. So, you shouldnt have a problem fitting a 10. You can probably even fit 10.5s or 11s.

and without width numbers who gives a fuck what a rim's offset is in front? a 19x10+40 and 19x7 +/-0 will be almost the same.

heres my .02cents
according the the fitment volkgt7 has and my old set up (19x9+24). the 19x10+20 will be 4mm closer to the spindle arm (i think that's what it's called).  the 10wide +20 will have a slight poke (around 17mm with no tire gap, depending on height) on coilovers (will be very hard to drive low. u turns and driveways will be annoying). will be very nice and flush pancaked on air.

A 9.5 +40 up front is RIGHT NEXT to the suspension upright on the 1GS or 2GS.
Bend a rim and you'll know it, because the bent part of the rim will hit the suspension
every revolution.

A 10 +34 sits the same on the inside as 9.5 +40... at anything resembling ride height it will stick out.
Aired all the way down it will tuck a bit. With a stretched tire it would work but hit the fender 
if the car is driven low and the front wheels are turned.

10.5" or 11" up front HAS to stick out because there is simply no more room to move
the wheel inboard. It all has to go to the outside.

Basically, a 10" will fit in the front but it will poke unless you pull/flare.

i got a 9.5 up front and am nowhere near to flush.
its a 9.5 +34 so i think i can fit a 10 +28 easily

Antbo used to run 9 +20 which is the same as 10 +32 on his dh's when he had coilovers. Just rolled fenders and 225s and he didnt have much problems. You know and I know you always gotta make sacrifices in this game.:shrug:

SoCalSC4, i know you do this all the time and i gotta take some pics of how close my wheels is to the spindle when i put my wheels back on cuz i dont think that its that close. i have some slight bends and i am also running 245 width tires in front. i  am remebering that i had +40 before and now i have +30 but i still have the other wheel:shrug:
