Dark blue interior, what color wood?

Ok so basically I now have a decent amount of trim pieces to go get the hydrographics put on but I am stuck about what color to go with. My interior is dark blue. All the trim pieces that I currently want to put wood grain on are black. What color do you guys think I should go with as far as wood grain is concerned. Me personally to contrast the dark blue I think a dark cherrywood finish would set it off. But my more subtle side is saying that I should go with a dark grey wood I guess similar to what lexus has in some of their dark interiors. I dunno. Can some of you give me a little input or suggestions about what wood you think will work next to dark blue.

Thanks ahead of time.

Why not go outside the box and get blue wood?

I think that might blend in a bit too much with the interior. I want something that people will notice and be like whoa I didn't know that toyota had this as an option.

Do you have pics. Or a link so I can see that. I think birds eye maple is a little too light of a color but I do like the way it looks though. I think it may look tacky next to the dark blue since it'll contrast so much. I know I'm definitely not goin with walnut.

birds eye maple would have a good contrast with the dark blue, but if u dont like that then u could go with a lighter blue with a lil bit of white to give it a lil more pop over the dark blue.

Birds eye maple is a type of wood pattern, not a color. Its a 3D type of pattern that has little circles that resemble a "birds eye"

These are all different shades of birds eye maple.

This is a very difficult pattern to replicate. You won't get the 3D effect with hydrographics.

I would go with a light brown color wood. Thats what my boy has on his 05 A8 with navy blue interior. Looks sick

ok thanks i'm gonna check online to see if I can find some a8 interior pics. I really wanted to stay away from doing the grey or a dark color.
