Did the Y33 just drop in price this past year??? wahh

ok im like checking out craigslist, and usually i do a run thru potential cars to see whats out there.. and dam its like the y33 are like under $5k now.... thats crazy. I coulda sworn they held up their value a lil more then that last time i looked. I know G50s are pretty inexpensive but the Y33 is closely following it now.

even the e39 bmw 5series seems to have dropped alot.

of course these cars are 10 years old I dont expect gems out of anything by that age maintanence wise etc.

yes they have....V8's and expensive if something goes wrong....in todays economy those are not good things.... sucks too.

Ya the price has really dropped a lot.  A year and half ago when I bought mine I paid 7k now if I was gona get the same one now it would be about 5400 in perfect condition.  No one wants V8's now.

Exactly, V8's are dropping in price. Even LS400's that are known to have a higher resale value than Y33's, are also losing resale value.

These cars are worthless, which is part of why I have no desire whatsoever to get rid of it! That and I still love it. And it's super fuckin reliable.

Just because they are cheap to buy doesn't mean most people could afford to keep them.  Most people just look at the cost of the vehicle and not the cost of ownership.
 
Parts still cost as much as they would on a $50,000 car.  Same goes with all Q's.

I paid 16,500 for mine in April 2004. I coulda saved 10k if I only waited to get one till this year LOL!!  

Werd to what Agi said, sure most people can afford to "buy" one, but can they afford to keep it up? I doubt it, most run them into the ground. I've maintained mine absolutely up to spec, parts aren't cheap, but luckily I got connects on labor.

Yep big V8 cars have dropped in price really quickly thanks to the world economy and gas prices.  Even though gas prices have come down, I don't think consumers are going to forget any time soon.

you hardly see any v8's around in nz.  The majority are 3L V6's at the biggest

yeah, I searched around and I paid a little extra because I wanted BLK on BLK AE with the birdseye maple interior, but I see sooo many going for 3500-4500 now...

i also got a blk on black ae and it makes me mad to see them so low 9 months after i bought the car.

yeah i paid like 9500 for mine...way too much and if my car makes it to japan the vq swap is a  must

i just sold my 97 Q 12X,XXX miles for 3000$, left the JIC's, alpine dvd, alarm, jdm headlights on it and all

now i feel bad for not buying your headlights....

i'm picking up one sat. for around 6k. its all infiniti though. i bought my g sedan about a year and a half ago for 24k, and just sold it for 13,600.
