How are the quality on these wheels? Any clear coat issues? I like the SDMsl2. They are only a 2 piece wheel though. [img]http://www.jlinewheels.com/images/wheels/500_SDMSL2.jpg[/img]
i had those a while back on my wife jetta. they took a beating. shes very unforgiving on wheels. Im not partial to clearcoat of lips of wheels because if you dont was weekly (as my wife didnt) the clear starts to haze.

Hmm, if getting jline wheels just make sure your vendor gives you some sort of guarantee in writing stating that they will take care of you when/if things do go wrong with the wheels... know too many stories of intro-produced wheels having finish problems, and being a lot out of round even when brand new... as long as they put it in writing, you're safe.

[/quote] **NOT ATTCKING YOU** J-Line has been around a few years now and Stan and his guys are very good with customer service. They are a full forged wheel so I am doubting they would have many issues as drastic as that. I do agree with your input though on new companies in the wheel market. And yes, like you said they should have a warranty..but remember there is no warranty for the misuse, damage, or abuse caused by the customer. All too many times this happens and the customer tries to point fingers when it was their own doing. For example..spraying the wrong cleaner on a clear-coated lip. Most wheel companies give a one year warranty against manufacturers defects and catastrophic wheel failure. As for finish, pretty much the same story, although some range as high as 3 years..but it's less common.

Its a 2 piece welded so its debateable. Also it is a 16". The rivets are purely decorative and are on 17s and up

I know of the company, but normally associate them with domestic cars and hotrods, but yes they do produce wheels for a few companies besides that.
There is no doubt that the intro company has the ability to make good quality wheels... and some of their stuff is pretty good. But I think most people's concerns is that nowadays, a lot of the stuff they're bringing out for the relabels seem to be of sub-par quality, and even that isn't a bad thing; but what sorta sucks is the high price they command for that quality. Are they better than Rotas? Most definitely. Are they good enough to be worth like 10x the price of a Rota? Most likely not. Maybe 3-5x as much tops imo. Maybe if you want the best stuff intro has to offer w/o any worries, it's all about just ponying up the real bucks and buying the stuff they custom make for the hot rod guys... those things seem to have a bit better QC. As for copying... there is a story that goes back to the mid 80s I believe it was that does involve Intro and HRE.. I forgot the exact details, but apparently a friend's dad was quite happy that Intro ripped HRE, who had ripped him before that. It's sorta almost like convoluted karma eh?

This is the problem I have, everytime I see a set of wheels that I like something else pops up hahaha. 1st the trafficstars rts and now Jline, well my question is what does a set of 18's and 19's with a flat lip setup cost and 18's or 19's with a step lip? And last but not least are there any more styles or mesh is the only thing they have? Thanx in advance

[/quote] works and volks have rims out there over 6-10 years old.. as well as ss-r.. they're still fine and dandy.. i personally dunno much about jlines.. but i dont care for how thin the face looks.. it looks thin to me.. i dunno if it's just me or what..
