Thinking of a new car - Lexus, of course!
I am in the market of getting a new car, not sure of it yet but if and when I am ready, I have narrowed it down to either a used LS or used GS.
My question is not VIP related. My curiousity is the pros and cons of each model. Be it bad transmission, recall parts, common problems, etc. I know I should post this on CL but I don't want to sign up just to ask and get the response, "Use the search option, noob!"
As far as LS years, I have to get something affordable so I guess anything btw 97-03? As far as the GS model, I would prefer the 2nd gen Aristos.
Any help would be fantastic! Thanks, guys and girls!

if your going to get the aristo..make sure its above 2000. the early years has some ball joint problems. if u like the traditional mafia look, then i would go w/ a LS due to the long trunk...but if your kinda sporty...then a GS. depends on your taste.

Good point! I like a big body 4 door car so I chose an LS and the 2nd gen GS. Not only can I not afford the new GSs, the body is not "big" enough for me, know what I mean? Thanks for the headsup about the ball joints. I bet those are a grip to replace. I heard its not covered under warranty either..? no recall?

Balljoints are only $100ish for both sides. They're easy to replace. Find an 01+ if you can. Parts are easy to find for the GS. Not so much for the LS. Get the 430 for either car if you can.

Gs- is a more of the drivers car it more spotry and and every thing is a bit more stifer.
Ls- more oa a lay back and injoy the ride kinda dial.
I had the oportunety of driving both cars and both of them felt real nice. Had no problem with any one of them just did the usual maitence and they ran smoth. Both where 430.
