smokin'?

Did a search, and it came back with nothing. If this has been covered before im sorry, and please delete.

I was on the junction produce USA website, and seen they sold ash treys and i got to thinking. Do any of you smoke in your car? Once I buy a y33 i'm not sure if i will smoke in it, especially if i have curtains. I would hate to accidentally burn, or get ash on the curtain. I had a daily/track car and smoked in it, cleaned it often(2-3 times a week) and it never smelt of smoke. Could have been from new air freshener every week, and shampooing the carpets every 2-3 weeks.

Also, I was wondering. These cars just scream elegance and class. Because of the whole upper class persona of these cars, do you smoke cigars instead of cigarettes? Sorry for the odd questions, just a young guy honestly wondering about this.

Also please excuse any bad grammer or spelling mistakes. I have been trying to work on correcting it.

Smoking in the car is like eating in the car. There are dangers and rewards to both. Since I started redoing my interior I stopped smoking and eating in the car. The second day after I installed black diamond stitched cloth that replaced my carpet I dropped a cheesy feista potato from taco bell down the side of my seat and was like "ok i'm done!"

Smoking in the car is the same thing. I could maybe see smoking the wacky tabacky because its more controlled then a lit cigar/ette but smoking that in the car is a bad idea regardless of if you mess you rig up. I think your curtains should be safe its the seats you should worry about.

I had to replace my carpet with the baller stitched stuff cause I had a burning cherry land down the side of the passenger seat and the air from the windows being down fanned it on the paper that was jammed between the seats and I ended up burning a decent part of the cars carpet. I had the same thing happen in my old LS400 in the door and it ruined part of the door.

It sounds like you are pretty meticulous about keeping your car clean so if I were you I probably wouldn't smoke in the car. But real luxury is being able to do the things you enjoy so don't let it stop you.

I'll smoke in my car once every other week with the windows down, sunroof open and A/C circulating. I'd be afraid of killing the resale value with a smelly interior.

DUDE turn the air off if you smoke in the car! The smoke gets circulated through the cabin filter so when you turn on the air later you get a blast of it. It doesn't happen right away but it will after a while. My car smelled like SHIT whenever I ran the air so I pulled the cabin filter and it was naaaasty. I could have sold it to scrubby stoner highschool kids for at least $50 to scrape clean. =?

Smoke won't stick to leather/vinyl in the seats or doors but it will stick to the headliner. The biggest danger of smoking ANYTHING in a car is burns on the headliner. I don't know if it sticks to suede or not, I would guess not but I could be wrong. Burns in the seats are the biggest issue though. If you have item retention issues I would strongly advise against it.

Don't smoke but the kid would snack and I have to vacuum it out. If it's greasy don't eat it if it crumbles a lil, then it's alright. Can always vacuum it out

I eat in the car pretty often. Especially in summer on my lunch break, I eat lunch in the car and listen to the radio/tunes. I always have the windows open though, I can't stand the smell of McDonald's or Burger King, and it seems to linger. Sometimes I forget to being the empty wrappers with me and it's just gross when I come back.

Since spilling mustard/ketchup/relish combo on my seat though, I've decided to ban hot dogs, and other sloppy foods. That, and chocolate, because the little crumbs get smushed into the fabric.

As for smoking (oh, apparently that's what the thread is about and I went totally off topic), never ever. I don't smoke, period, and the smell is absolutely horrible. There's no way I'd let anybody smoke in any of my cars.

All of that is prohibbited in my car. I don't even let girls roll the windows down. I put on the b*tch lock (child safety lock) once they enter.
