WTB: 04-06 LS430 Grille

As title says, looking to buy an LS430 Grille, mainly looking for an emblemless grille. I like the billet style grille. Would prefer it not to be chrome. Anyone know where I can get one for a good price. Ready to buy....cash in hand..........something like this style....

I have done this in the past, painted it blk, but I kept constantly getting rock chips. I was trying to get my body guy to paint it. But he said b/c its plastic chrome, you can't paint it. You have to buy plastic spray paint. And that was ok, until I had to consistantly keep painting it every once in awhile. Unless you can get it painted? Or any recommendations on hard paint that won't chip off?

Brother let me give you a tip that MAY work for this chrome? Get yourself a can of KLEEN STRIP, it is a paint stripper and absolutely powerful and will do the job you need done. Trust me.
Take it out in yard with a garden hose, spray the grill and literally watch the paint come right off before you. Let it sit a little, maybe a 3-5min. With a light scrub brush of some sort along with running the hose over it, just simply brush and wash the paint away. Dry off and enjoy! It will take you less than 15min from start to finish. That KLEEN STRIPPER is no joke!! And it may very well work with this light chrome job on the grill?? Visit the website and they may have a stripper more for that chrome too, too lazy to do it for you, sorry. I just know their product works.

I did this for the rear bezel on my LS that the back up cam mounts to. Those are usually painted to match the car with a slight hint of chrome behind it, I stripped it and now the bezel is all Chrome. Entirely chromed from the factory I suppose with just a small chrome strip showing, you LS430 owners know what I mean? JP wants something like $200+ for an all chrome one, I modded mine for less then $8 and a mild case of elbow grease and 15 min.

Any way, there it is. Hope this works out for you.

PS: You can generally find this at Lowes, Wal-Mart, Home Depot or possibly ACE Hardware if they still carry it.

From the website:

Premium Stripper Aerosol
Klean-Strip® Premium Stripper strips multiple layers of latex and oil-based paint, polyurethane, epoxy, varnish and shellac from wood, metal and masonry surfaces. Removes most coatings in 15 minutes or less. The convenient aerosol is excellent for small projects.

Well, it does not hurt to try, in the event you do, you'll want to let it sit a little longer of course as the chrome is most likely on pretty thick. You should browse through he website and see if they have a more specific remover.
In any even, you'll be out maybe $8.

BTW, you still interested in just a few of the pieces from the JP kit? PM and let me know either way please.

So you would recommend taking the chrome off before painting it?

They do have a grill that is the same color as the stock without an emblem.
