1998 acura tl vip styled

This is my creation.. Ive posted it here before, but heres updated pictures of it....

I pretty much fabricated most of it all from parts from other cars like accords, 240s, preludes.. Car has a high compression built motor, built trans, full nsx brakes, same suspension as the btcc cup accords and the list goes on...  Enjoy!

I know its not your usual with the satin black paint, but it matches my other car identical.. Ignore the dust.. both are covered in it and havent been driven or wiped off since august..

should make close to 700whp and over 650ft lbs.. weighs 2100lbs with driver and 9 gallons of gas.  Car should run high 8s the way it sets if the rear end holds up.. NOT A DRAG CAR. This car is built to massacre 1 liter bikes on the highway 20-170


if not, In process of putting a gt42 on it and iron 458 cubic inch lsx block anyhow..

i dunno if i would consider it vip styled.. but i have to say that is the cleanest 1st gen tl i have ever seen.. and the photos and the fitment are awesome!

Its def not vip.. i mean its not a q45 or a gs400.. But im sure i could pass them on 2 wheels in a turn haha..

Wow. interesting post. engine shot of the tl? i like the rims, but unsure if i like them that much on the car. 

and damn that FC looks like if u crash its straight to the morgue haha looks crazy fast though! do u happen to have other pictures posted somewhere else?

I would say it is vip influenced, but it is still clean for a 1st gen tl. :biggthumpup:

I dont have any motor shots really. Its got the legend type 2 manifold on top which is a little bigger, but i have the engine cover on there with a factory airbox out of a type r integra and a spoon air filter on it, besides that the engine looks stock. I dont like crazy tacky engine bays..

Both rides are HARD.

only thing i don't love about it is the kit. paint is sick and the one off works are killer (crinkle finish is a nice touch). great job on doing your own thing, and coincidentally keeping up with the latest style (without over doing it).
 
you guys sayin this isn't vip inspired need to take a look at what's goin on in japan right now, not just what's praised on vsc.

thanks alot for all the nice comments dudes..  I just tried to do my own thing with the cars.. I have matching anodized gold hearse scrolls for the tl and i was going to take the front 2 windows out and have them tinted darker since i cant make it in the tint place.


The kit has its flaws yes, but its urethane which is why i got it. I really like the skipper kit for this car but just to get out of my driveway it nearly buckles the side in half, so if it was not urethane, it would already be destroyed.  I could have canovers yes, but it would not handle like it does.. This car gets driven pretty hard still..

this is a pretty bad ass TL, i like what u did with the vs-xx

That shit is painted with rattle can trim black spraypaint, and it will get just as much attention and publicity as some horseshit riceboy paintjob that prevents me from driving it.. I come home from work, and face the 1 foot tall curb, and i just wack into it.. fuck it, pop the rattle can lid, and touch her up.. hahahahaa.. Sorry but PAINTJOBS are NOT for me..

 i have followed your build on here for a long time.. Honestly one of the cars that stick out the most to me from this site.. I appreciate the props, and issue some right back to you.. post a shot of the q currently.. Its hard for me to locate it on here with the few moments per hour i have between work to search for it.. :)

so im repainting the whole car right now, fixing some dents, got a few new pieces here and there and am taking another photo shoot.

yea, it looks perfect in person besides the areas with damage.. Camera picks it up worse. Honestly i could paint the hood with a gun, and the trunk, and no one would ever know the difference between the cans and the gun. Thats why i use the paint, so i can drive without worrying about a 5000 dollar paint job.

The car goes under the knife wednesday though to get the quarter fixed and the door has some dents too
