help, coilover install 2000 q45t

Hey guys, trying to install my insurance coilovers and the dust boot ripped off the lower control arm ball joint when i separated it from the knuckle

can i replace just the dust boot or ball joint?  or does the ball joint only come with the whole control arm?

also, i left strut setting at sport mode, doesnt matter does it?  gut the sensors?

i don't have any help for your lca issue (i honestly don't remember touching that when i was taking my shit apart, but that was like 7+ months ago, so my memory's hazy)

you can take the motors sitting on top of the shocks completely off, then disconnect the harnesses that they're plugged into without any effect. i think that's they way to go instead of leaving them dangling in the engine bay somewhere.

You should be able to find a replacement lower control arm w/ good ball joint still in it from a local junkyard or fairly close via [url]www.car-part.com[/url] for ~$50.  It's worth it.  This way you can hang onto the old one, fix it, and have a back up should a ball joint go out in the future.

That's what I would do.

I used  Energy suspension dust boots, bought them at Advance Auto. Ball joints are sold with the control arms.
