So what the heck is a Grapple

So I love these things... They look like an apple but smell and taste like a grape! But what the heck are they? Is it a cross breed? Apple and grape or just an apple soaked in grape juice for a couple of days? any idea's and have you had one? Here's some pics cause I love pics
