Dude needs to go back to 101.

1. Why are you not posting this question in 101?

2. Why did you even post this question without researching first? Even if we told you everything you asked it wouldn't mean anything to you because you wouldn't understand what it meant!

Ok judging by the title I guess Im confused of the specs. Are they 18x9 and 19x9? Are they 18x9 +19 and +24? Clarify that for me and I can definitely help. Judging by what you have given me so far though, especially with 1" adapters, you're going to have a hell of a time with rubbing, even with a lot of camber.

You need flares, no way around it (unless you wanna herpes out the fenders like so many xBers do now). Flares and camber youll be solid. You're going to rub like an SOB with that though, unless you cut fenders. Coilovers suck for super aggressive fitment and daily driving. I personally would never recommend that fitment to anyone with coilovers, but it's your call and it will work.

am I missing something here.... I didn't think xB could take 0 offsets. If he has 18x9 +24 with a 1 inch spacer/adapter then wouldn't it bring the offset down to near 0? Even full size sedans have to trim to fit that. Like the guy before....flares will definitelly be needed....lol and this guy doesn't want to cut or trim. Don't they have xB forums for this info? I know there is clubxb.com which I'm a member of.

1" = 25.4mm

so he's currently at +24....Add the -25.4 with the adapter and that would drop it sub zero.

You posted the thread so guess what... you DID ask me to respond. Useless huh? I guess you haven't been around here too long. Plus, dude, you didn't answer my questions...

1. Why are you not posting this question in 101?

Here on VSC we have a section dedicated to new people who have questions about their builds. It's called '101'. The reason for having a section like this is to have a collection of questions answered by knowledgeable VIP members that new people can reference. It's a perfect little spot for all of the noob questions, such as yours, so that the boards don't get overloaded with questions that will ultimately be answered with "use the search button."

2. Why did you even post this question without researching first? Even if we told you everything you asked it wouldn't mean anything to you because you wouldn't understand what it meant!

We could TELL you what you need but A) potentially the new terminology will only create more confusion and more questions, and B) then the next time you want to size wheels you won't know how to do it other then to post on here asking. It's a give a man a fish type scenario. You didn't make a post saying "How do I size wheels?" You made a post saying "18x9/19 +24 and 1" adapter on xb" I don't even exactly know what 18x9/19 is supposed to mean. On top of that, you make the post when THREE INCHES FROM THE NEW POST BUTTON is a post entitled "Wheel Offset 101" when you could have gotten all of the information you seek.

I'll use your specs as a example for new people on the boards who are interested in calculating their offset. Hopefully they will keep in mind that coming in with a attitude acting like a punk will not get your questions answered here.

So lets say you want to run 18x9f +24 /18x19r +24, on your scion Xb. We'll say it's a 2008 (since dude didn't put the YEAR of his car in his post).

First, we find our factory offset either from A) already acquired knowledge, B) wheelspecs.com, C) a google search for "2008 scion xb offsets"

We find that they are 15x6 +38.

Next, we go to this website:

http://marksink.com/tire_wheel_offset/offset.html

And put our current wheel width (6) and offset (38) into the calculator. Then we enter in the width and offset of the wheels we want to run. We'll put the fronts in first. So thats 9, and +24. Since a wheel adapter is being used which also acts as a spacer, we subtract -25 from the +24 to get -1. We enter in the specs and get...

The clearance from stut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 1mm MORE
The outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 77mm

This means the wheel will move 1mm closer to the strut housing, and the wheel will extend 75mm (or 3 inches) from the edge of the current wheels.

Our rears come out to:

The clearance from stut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 12mm LESS
The outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 90mm

Which means, well, exactly what it says.

With a tape measure, and the car, we can measure (or make a mock-up out of cardboard) to see how much the wheel will poke out. This is not exact since the wheels will camber in giving you additional clearance. However, it does give you a good idea of what to expect. Having wheels poke out may result in you need to roll your fender. How to do that can be found here:

Alright stop flaming the guy. I guess Ill be willing to help. He asked a question; although he didnt research it the best, Id rather him ask it here than on other sites and be tucking an inch, or be on another site that gets overzealous and gets him to herpes up his fender.

All in all, youll need flares for this one. You can rock negative offsets effectively on an xB without flares, but that usually is in the realm of 8" and -5, not 10" -1. If you need help, feel free to ask and Im willing to help. Id rather you get it right and get flamed for it than be a noob and screw it up with all the "bBs" and their Sportmax sh*t.

On those rims? 215/35 front, 225/35 rear. -8 camber is stupid on our cars though , because I know he wont be more than -3 up front (proportions look off then).

Tell your friend if hes serious to do air, and then we can talk more. Otherwise I see it not workin so well.

when you say "I see it not workin so well" you mean the wheels fitting on the car or him wanting to run all the camber

That does suck. Luckily you were alright and the damage wasn't worse. You should be able to pick up most if not all that you need on club Lexus (minus the rim)

guessing the OP's mate was going to buy those Viennas for the xB and run them with the adaptors.

ah well. he'd be better off buying 18x9 18x10 -1 Viennas straight out anyway cause then he'll have way more dish haha
