Question for the VIP guys

Where you guys picking up these wheels at?

Every site iv been to doesn't give you the option of choosing your own Offset? Is there a company that deals in Customizing wheels? Like offset and Width? if so what company(s) are there out there?

ALSO what is the Math equation (if there is one) to find out how much offset or Negative Offset is too much and how much they would stick out of the fenders. Im Very good at Eyeing rims up to see if they will fit but i want to know how i could tell what i would need to do, modification wise, for wheels i would order offline.

You have to call some of the companys on here... Like PGmotoing or AutoFashion... They can help you... are pm grant... he always has the pimp shit

When i input the STOCK is-f wheel (rear)  which is 9 inch wide with a +35 mm offset (correct me if im wrong)
the the Desired wheel which is a 10.5 inch wide with -25mm
its saying

41mm more
EXTEND an extra 79mm

Meaning i have 41 mm on the inside edge of the wheel clearance wise based on the strut (41mm of space before it rubs on the strut)

and 79mm sticking out Past the Fender? meaning it would stick out More then

^almost, it will stick out 79mm more from the outer lip of the IS-F rims.  the calculator does not know your fenders as every car is different.  it does know your current wheels though.  So if the IS-F wheels are absolutely flush 100% with the fenders then yes it will stick out from the fenders that far, but if the IS-F wheels are sunk in about 15mm then the new wheels would stick out 64mm etc etc.  of course you can fix the poke by using camber and fender modding. G/L

As for the OP, VIP Modulars are nice...

You can customize Work wheels as well as SSR.  Then again, it depends on what size wheel you get from either company.

i believe most of the time, if you just call the company and speak to a rep, you can customize your options a bit better. online ordering is really set up for people that want basic / generic things.

call any of the vendors already mentioned and they can get you what you need.

Most wheel companys will not help you.. you have to call a vip shop to get what you want

Any company that makes 3 piece wheels will be able to make you a wheel to your specification, which will include widths, which in turn will affect the offset.
 
They may not be able to help if you have a different branded wheel, for example, getting an HRE wheel modified by VIP Modular Status.
 
In the UK, we have a company called Image wheels which can make custom dishes/lips for your wheels. In Spain, there is also a custom wheel company called Braid, which do the same, so no doubt, there will be some in the US.

I have FULL intentions of both My SC and IS-F being on air,  and i intend to drive it slammed as often as i can, with that said...

Tubbing the fronts......  and maybe even rears if they need it

Im doing some R&D on my own SC here....

but id love to hear others inputs (if they have any)

What materials did you use?
what was the process?
Did it effect the Ridgetity of the frame? 
Over all, What are the pros and cons of doing this?
