i heard the jp ones don't fit us plates, but if anyone knows of ones that do lmk. other than that, custom is as simple as:

1) take a flat base

2) make it angled

3) win!

Here's what I did:

Latest DIY project: Front license plate mount

I wanted to do something like this.

Forum image

Searched ebay for a front license plate mount. Got lucky and won a Bentley license plate holder for 2006-2008 Continental GT or Flying Spur. Factory painted Silver Pearl, part number 12283. No reserve. Free shipping. Total cost, $4.99.

Bell adjustable license plate mounting bracket from Autozone: $8.99.

I had to do some trimming with the brackets to get the desired tilt. The mounting bracket holes did not line up with the JP bumper holes which needed further modification.

Although I got mine in Japan on my last trip and it's separate pieces for each side which means it'll fit on one from any country.

I like...I think it would look extra good with the top blacked out completely or at least the B pillars painted black to give it that "mono-window" look on the sides.

thanks dude! i knew i saw them at autozone.

also, do you guys think itll look tacky if i only use the plate bracket and not the whole plastic housing.

edit. i think ill be fine with just the bracket since my bumper already has that license plate thing molded into (stock).

I bought mine here. I have seen them on ebay too. I had to use a bracket to be able to mount U.S. plates. I have seen those Bell brackets at Autozone.

I have the JP one I just drilled into the bumper and then double tapped the plate to the mount.

Here's an older pic not a close up, but it gets the job done
