FWD guys and 9.5" in the front....

I'm putting a set of wheels on my other vehicle, standard rim is 17x7 w/a 42mm offset.

I'm looking at putting a set of staggered 19's on it, typically they go 19x8.5(F) 19x9.5(R) I'm still waiting on the offsets from the manufacturer that they usually set them "standard" order so to speak.  I know their isn't many guys running 9.5's out front and mainly stick to 8.5 for a reason but I'd really like to run at 9.5" all the way around.

I've been messing w/this offset calculator for the last 24 hours while going through multiple fwd set-ups, not many run really aggressive up front at 19"s.  Im thinking +30 in the front +35 in the rear, just hate the fact that I'm gonna shell out the cash and I don't know the final outcome of what I'll get beforehand.  Any of you guys running 19x9.5's in the front?  How's turning, rubbing, etc.  This is also a Saturn(yea I know I know, but think about the kia's you would have never thought could look good lol) so the fenders are PLASTIC, I dont know what I would do for "stretching/fender rolling" so to speak if need be.

dealin with a car that i can pretty much gaurentee no one one this site has i don't see you getting a "one size fits all" answer. what you can do is read the sticky on wheel sizing and figure it out for yourself. it's simple math.
 
another simple answer would be whatever offset you would use in 8.5, -12. but again, without knowing anything about the chassis i can't really help as far as clearance issues.
 
and btw, just because fwd car doesn't mean that all models are going to be the same.

what is your lug pattern?

my best suggestion would be to try and find a 350z or g35 with some staggerred aftermarket wheels and test fit them on your car.  they mainly run 8.5/9.5 combo.  see how those fit and go from there.

as far as 9.5's up front goes, most of us run that at least. i have 9.5/10.5 and a lot go 9/10.  but you can find some cars runnin 10's up front

yea I been going through the offset guide and I feel you on the one size doesn't fit "all", I was trying to get a "general" idea of what most guy w/the high offset that most fwd come with, would run if they were running 9.5" wide.  Thanks alot on that -12 of the offset of the 8.5" wide rim, I had been wondering if there was a "tip or trick" so to speak because I can't lie I can look at numbers all day but I'll be the first to admit Im more of a hands on person to fully understand these numbers Im looking at(although I have nailed the "general idea" of offsets 101).

Saturn for whatever dumb reason decided to put the saab tranny/spindle/hub set-ups on their newer vehicles and I got stuck w/the redhead step child of lug patters....5x110  I have been looking into wobble bolts to possibly run that 5x112 but I just dont trust them on the performance end of things....

There's hardly anything out for these so Im stuck w/the popularity of the cobalt ss to get wheels for the vehicle and have nailed it down to the rennen RC2's as seen on this cobalt(which has the same suspension/offset set-up as mine):

And he really aint coming off the offset he was running, says he "doesn't remember".  There 8.5" up front 9.5" out back and as you can see there's still room in the front w/the 8.5's....I dont like it, I wanna squeeze that 9.5 in there.

i have a fwd car and i can fit in 9's easily in the front with  a single digit offset. but i have a wider car than normal. the only thing like others suggest is to try to find friend who have nissan or people with wider setups and than fo from there. most definately i think u can fit 9's but u might be able to get a wider wheel which is better..

sounds good...gotta get up with some buddies w/wide wheels

I have a 07 accord sedan and can fit my 19x9 rears up front easy, 9.5 probably would rub even if i went with a 225/35/19...

What kind of FWD car do you have that fist a single digit offset with 19x9 up front, if you don't mind me asking...

i have a 03 accord.

arent tc's and wrx's 5x110?

tc's are 5x100, no idea what the wrx is, I think the STI is 5x114.3

wrx are 5 x 100 as well.
