Question about wheel finish

[COLOR=Plum]I'm truly a novice when it comes to VIP so I need some feedback.

I've been struggling about what wheels to get.  I found some Lexani that I like and they make some with goldplated accents.  I liked the look and actually have been thinking about  goldplating the wheels entirely.

Would I be banished from the VIP site and become personae non grata if I did that?  

The car is Blackberry Crush Metallic (more plum than anything to my eye) and I'll have the seats covered in plum & gold metallic leather.

Sooooo.....opinions?

  I'd say a dark purple and gold combo goes well, but personally, I think it would be a bit much and perhaps tacky for the wheels to be gold. I think a nicely polished wheel with gold accents may look good. Also, Lexani, as far as I know, seem more Dub style than "vip", stick with a jdm wheel. Btw, what car will these be going on?

Lexani is all dub  no VIP. The gold accents make it even more dub.
No one would banish you just not call your car VIP.

haha indeed. gold and purple and lexani - all DUB. just a little too tacky / over the top in a glitzy sort of way for VIP.
 
its a fine line, but if you dont really like pure VIP style then just do what you do and keep to a theme (as yuo seem to have in mind) and it should be good.

Agreed. That's DUB style not VIP, but do what you like, not what everybody else likes. If you do what others like, you'll only be disappointed in the end. If you like VIP style, but don't know what steps to take, then don't do it as it's not VIP. So first decide if you want DUB or VIP.
