Shifter on the Egg
Anyone change their Shift Knobs on their Eggs? Where did you "relocate" the "Over-Drive" Button? Also any advice on how to R&R would be very much appreciated.
Thanks ahead of time,

Good questions.......I just cut the "Rubber" off....now there's no turning back. LOL I was expecting to see a screw or something under the rubber but no luck.

Did some work on the shifter this weekend...........I had to break out the "Rotary" to "Cut" off the plastic shifter(The shifter is Glued on to the shift level). I relocated the "Overdrive" button to a "Toggle". Was going to put on my shifter that I picked up but........no deals. I am going to have to cut the shifter to length, and got to figure out how I am going to make the bubble shifter fit some how. Not as easy as R&R which I was hoping for. Oh well........
So for now I got a shift level without a knob on it. Looks pretty whack. LOL

^^^^Much mahalos for the offer. I was just thinking about giving you a ring. I actually bought 2 knobs so that I would have the option of changing out. I can actually remove the shifter to bring to you. I was thinking of "shortening" the shift lever and some how attaching the "threads" to the shift lever. Probally would have to do some welding. I will bring it by some time to get your input.
Thanks again for offering,

Sorry I didn't take any pics of the cutting. I just used a Rotary tool and cut the Plastic right off. Was hoping that I would be able to "thread" and put on the Plexi Shifter but "wishful thinking". My Shifter is now if the capable hands of eight08customs. I will post up pics of the final product.
