hey guys, just wanted to see which tips would suit my car best.. I know it's my choice but I really don't know which one because they're all nice. I just want to see what VSC has to say about these different styles. I'll be buying a stainless Magnaflow Muffler SS with tips custom welded on with 3'' pipes from the x-pipe.
Here's some Pics of each muffler:

+1 for #14861. Mainly because all the other tips would look too small on your Q.

did the tips fit snug with the stock bumper opening? I also like that style but I'm not trying to mod my bumper to have them fit, thats gonna cost me some money.
anyone know a muffler shop in SD that might have these in stock so I can take my car in to check for clearance?

yes... the shop that did mine made it fit perfect.... I liked the sound as well cause I took out the 2 other mufflers in-line from headers back....

thanks for the compliments guys!
yes that is the 14830 muffler... and I do agree with you about the grille. I didn't know they had so many chrome horizontal lines..I'm debating if i should paint some of the inners black so it looks like only 3 is showing. but overall I'm happy with the results. Next I should be swapping my tint to 35% black, pick up some tan belezza curtains and leave it a lone for awhile until I stack some money for a kit.
what do you guys think, should I color match the visors or just paint them a gloss black? They look kinda purple from upclose.
I'll see if I can also get a camera and record a clip of how the muffler sounds.

Nice! I just did 20% all around and its way too dark.
That is strange that the Y33 visors are kinda purple. I remember Antbo posting about that. My JDM F50 visors are quite black.

I like color matched visors, but it's personal preference. Your grill is the kouki version right? if you don't like it just trade for the earlier style...car looks sick!

wow, just what it needed. looking real clean.
id do the visors black. but man, green tint would set it off so well...
I think this has a similar color, and lookg great with green

#61 would have looked better, or maybe if u had just tips. the muffler stands out too much.
and colormatch your visors! i hate that UV purple. my visors looked terrible in direct sunlight.

once my brother lets me borrow his camera i'll put up a video for you. Not even loud only when you push it to over 4k rpms. for normal driving you can barely hear it with the music up just a little. The sound is really nice, has a deep tone because of the v8

didnt wanna spend on an exhaust shipped from japan, its really expensive and i think a magnaflow and custom pipping is just as good
dzznuts671;278298 wrote:OMG!! I LOVE THAT SOUND!! Damn gotta do this to my Y!!! about how much does that run? Your car is so clean!! thanks for sharing!!!
bought the muffler off ebay for $180 shipped and got the custom piping for less than $600 for parts and labor at a local shop. you can probablly find a better deal since most muffler shops are hurting right now. just offer them some cash
dzznuts671;278300 wrote:did you guys just run straight pipe from the headers to the new muffler?
from what i was told, they said they cut the stock piping from the y pipe and ran straight 2.5'' pipping back to the muffler. i just deleted the 2 resonators and got bigger pipes

Its a rare kouki Y33 cima grille. I got it off rich aka. zion.. he's the one who pimped out the front badge with the swarovski crystals and i recently custom painted the inners and masked off the 3 middle bars.
which tip style did you decide to go for? post some clips when you get the chance!
