I had no plans on buying another car but I kept seeing this one everytime I left my office...
 
Soooo, I just walked in to see what they had on their lot ( vs meeting after meeting @ work) and ended up driving it back work :pat:

I dont know what they were thinking by putting in a shiftknob with a diferrent woodgrain than the dash and doors....so I got a new OEM joint and changed shift knob ASAP!

took them apart and had them sand-blasted..

As soon as they were finished, I dropped them off at the powder coaters...and the Murdered em!!

The chrome trim is going from chrome to shadow-line finish

Congrats! The E38 cars clean-up nice with a few $ sunk into them. I have a guy in my neighborhood with a white one SLAMMED & kitted on 20... looks killer.

I was at Racing Dynamics yesterday pulling a new M3 V8 out for their 4.6 liter conversion - I went up in the rafters and they still have a buttload of E38 and E31 (8 series) parts - side skirts, rear diffusers, roof spoilers, etc. Let me know if you need anything, they'd love to see some of that stuff go away!

Also, the red/clear newer taillights really update those cars.

I was cheap and got some NEX SS Coilovers, I got the non adjustable dampening ones...Came out to $722 picked up locally brand new...So far I like em very much...

I had originally planned on going with FK's from Europe roughly $1.4k shipped or KW V3's which are about $2.2k...

Sneaky *BFC* found the NEX and I swooped on a set as well.

Nice pick up tho...would strongly consider them if I decide to throw it on uas bags. Do you have a picture of them with the car jacked up? Want to see if theres enough room for 'bags' on the coilovers.

It has sum good parts. I didnt realize how [I]nice [/I]it was, until I started looking for a replacement :sad: 
 
Im gonna look over the car when I have a free moment and decide if im gonna tackle rebuilding it over the next few months...or however long it takes.:shrug:

Thats 3 cars down in 3 weeks!! The starter on my GS400 went out too.  Its easier to swap a 1uzfe than it is to replace the starter. 
 
 
The rim came off the 850 and took the fender with it..... suspension slid about 50ft thru traffic. I couldnt turn the wheel because I wouldve torn up everything under the car.  
 
Rotors have a flat spot and the brake caliper is screwed...Headlight and hood are damaged too. Not sure what else is damaged at this point....
 
I think my ins company is going to send a hitman to get me if I claim this one as well :pat:

yes you are correct, facelift, consists of the salloped headlights, and the fenders to fit, the new headlights/corners
