Need help deciding offsets for front 2GS

Hey I need some help deciding which offsets to order for the front of my 2GS.  I had 20x9 +30 as my old setup running 225 and had trouble locking the wheel at full turns.  I would rub my fenders even with a complete shave.

I want to order 19x9 +26 running 225's as well and was wondering in going down from 20" to 19" would make more clearence for me.  I'm slammed on coilovers and my ride high is basically tucking half tire in front similar to 4play4dr's height.

If you didn't live in NYC, I would say go down to a 30 series tire up front.
 
What I recomend is to jump up to a 9.5" width. This is because the angle of your stretch will be sharper using the same 225/35 tire. You can achieve basically the same lip size and fitment by getting a +32 offset on that 9.5. 
 
Yes, jumping down from a 20 to a 19 will make a difference in clearance assuming the profile of the tire and suspension didn't change.

Thanks Agi I'll call you to get some more advice.

Apparently I'm limited to select offsets.

I have a choice of

19x9+32 low disc
19x9+33 High disc
19x9+20 High disc

Those are the offsets that would be around what I'm looking for, but +20 for the front would require me pull the fenders which I don't want to do.  They are already shaved and if I attempt to pull I don't think it would be perfectly round b/c it's shaved and not rolled.  Some input on which offset to get please.

you should not have problem with the 19's  and a +20 offset with a 225 tire and the proper fender work. u might rub a tiny bit sometimes on driveways, but switching from 20's to 19's will give u a LOT more room to play with even if u go lower. u may notice that  with your 20s were also rubbing on the top and sides of yourr inner wheel well, so that could have been the problem as well. what suspension do u have because tucking tire in front on 20' an 19' makes a huge difference especially on a gs  because of suspension arm clearance. im running 19x9.5+30 in the front with a full 245 width nankang tire and i rub past 3/4 turn. if i went down  to a 225 tire i would probably have no problems(which i plan to within the next 2 weeks) but i will also  be adding a 15 mil spacer after that!. also, be very aware that your diske heights wil affect lip size an brake clarance but not effective offset

So if I run 19x9+20 with shaved fenders I would have no problems?  I don't have a pull only completely shaved.  So downgrading from 20's to 19's would give me that much more play from my old +30 to make a +20 work with just a shave?  I have Tein CST's but I swapped out the springs for shorter ones that give me an extra inch to go lower.

Here is what I know:
 
I'm running shaved fenders with a 20x8.5 +19 up front and a 225/35.  You are gonna get some more stretch with being a 9 inch rim, but I would take Agi's suggestion and go with a 9.5.. It will give you a much better stretch out of a 225/35.  
 
As for me, at a +19 on a 8.5 I'm lined perfectly with the fender, with my camber maxed out.  I don't know how you are going to be able to run a +20 on a 9, but I"m looking forward to seeing it done.
 
I just ordered some neogen 225/30/20's this morning.  We will see how my SL's hold up with a 30 profile... but with a 20x8.5 wheel in the front, its the only way to get lower if you have no gap and your camber is maxed.

Hey, but you are riding on 20's.  My new wheels will be 19's  and according to what Volk and agi  said running 19's vs 20's should give me some extra clearance.  I'll be running 225/35 ST115 that are sitting in my apartment.  I think I'm going to run the 19x9+20, but would just like a little more feedback confirming that I could pull that off with just a complete shave and no pull.

I have 19x9 +13 right now in the front and it's not even flush yet. 19x9 +20 will work fine as long as you use a 225/35.

Thanks Chris, but aren't you on bags?  Do you ride slammed on the bags tucking 1/2 tire?  Should I go with a +19low disc or +19high disc?

Yeah I'm on bags but that doesn't mean I drive 4x4. ;) 

This is my ride height. If your front fenders are shaved to the max and your tires are stretched, you can probably make U-turns.

The front GS fenders can take much lower offsets than the rear.
