fog fitment problems
ughhhhhhhhh now my foglights dont line up with the kit. im starting to dislike modeparfume. first they charge me 750 for axle back piping with a tip welded on(no muffler) then they sell me depo brand lights off a w211 e-class that dont fit. oh and they give me front bumper leds off a y33. :pat::slap:
the kit itself fits like a glove, but all these stupid accessories dont go together for shit. if i was in japan id literally be driving to osaka to slap somebody.:saiyancrunks:

Dang dude I am sincerely sorry to hear about that. I even thought very highly of them before this. I definitely know what its like to get someone from of the of top brands with certain expectations only to be extremely disappointed with the product is in my hand.
Are you venting or asking for advise on what to do? If its advice PM your number there's lots of options to get it to fit flawless but way too much to type.

thanks, and both. im mostly venting but also wondering what i can do. i know theres ways to make it fit...i can let my paintguy handle that its more of a why the hell doesnt it fit? its not even close. i mean its not like putting a square in a circle hole but its off by a 1/2 inch all around. the kit instructions hardly has any useful information since they believe its that straightforward.
if i knew i was gonna have to cut up the kit to put fogs in i would have just retrofitted something with a projector in it. instead of spending 400 on the light and 150 on the hid i could have just got a used set of 460 fogs with ballast from agi and customfit them since i gotta make new brackets and cut the bumper for the fogs that came with the kit.
what makes things worse is im in the reassembly stage of my car and this is holding me up. modeparfume also takes awhile to respond back, not to mention they dont have any english speaking reps there. :pat: here we go again.. i must be hitler reincarnated. worst luck ever.

If it makes you feel better, I once got jerked for $450 for some no name velour curtains then had to pay another $100 for the curtain belts back in 05 lol. I say you delete part of your first comment and sell them on here, get some w221 S550 fogs at the dealer and fit those. You might as well go custom if you are going to cut up that nice kit. They also flow well with both the kit and the shape of the headlights. Turn a loss into a win

hm true. im most likely just gonna make these fit. those w221 fogs are a good idea though. actually great idea. my kit is painted and i just dont feel like redoing anything right now though. we'll see how off the fitment is exactly on the fogs i have now. yesterday it appeared 1/2 inch off in all areas. it almost feels like im trying to retro these w211 into the wrong bumper. i need to speak to modeparfume first. maybe they will clear some things up.
anyway the shop ended up fabbing up some brackets for the front turn signal leds behind the grill. thanks to kyle for the help!

haha i got jerked on some curtains too. my anceltions were like 700 bucks cause i wanted them airshipped right after i bought the car. and my stupid garson rear was 450 or something! and he told me it was custom fit to my car when it turned out being a universal fit for VANS. service was like no other though. hahahahaha :smiley-rofl:

well i think the k break fogs are the same. i believe mp, aimgain, and kbreak use e-class fogs. also sorry but like i said kyle and the shop rigged the lights to a bracket already. i woulda sold it though, its not as useful and integrated as i originally thought.

i think the kit itself needs to be trimmed. im thinking modeparfume kits are supposed to be used with those cheap fogs that they make with the chrome projector ring that says modeparfume on it. i know the fogs i have were their higher option, they just didnt tell me its not a direct bolt up fit. :pat:

1. i had never represented to you at any time that your garson rear curtains you purchased from me were "custom" garson-made product specifically designed for your car; in fact, i told you that the bigger curtains were off the japan vans and wagons because the S and M sizes do not fit your Q45 -- garson does not and has never made custom/vehicle-specifics that i am aware of; why would i lie to you?!
2. your anceltion curtains incld installation and as you know, you came back 2-3 times afterwards because ANCELTION's tape was shitty. i never ever charged you, i just kept fixing it for you everytime it fell off;
3. publicly lying or misrepresenting our business transactions on an internet board unfoundedly AFTER i went above and beyond helping you with your MRR HR4 exchange, driving up to your house, snapping pics and fronting your shipping was not what i had in mind despite however unhappy you may have been; you could have just called me. i woudl have posted this up but as you know i am banned on vsc using my "no-othr" account but i have friends/customers who surf vsc daily that brought your slanderous post to my attention. i am glad bryan lee/sessions is taking good care of you and your vipcar needs but i saw no need to slander or defame me on a internet board when i cannot post the truth of what really transpired.
i am very disappointed at your post, esp when i found out that you were taking your car and mp kit to joe's, i asked joe and kyle to take extra special care of your car because your're a great customer/friend. or at least were.

i dont have time for as lengthy a response as id like but...first of all it cost 450(install myself) and took 6-8 months to get here after full payment. there was no bottom rail as explained, then he said the curtains werea little long but he could get golden upholstery to hem it for me so it will be custom fit. but i got referred to golden upholstery already by him for my custom upholstery and they were absolutely terrible so i gave up on fixing the curtains. fuk golden upholstery.
yes anceltion curtain price did include install, i guess ill take that into consideration. but the install was a little crooked and it came off frequently i went back twice but id rather not use that glue anymore. also he said just come back anytime for the curtains falling because the install was included. thats the only reason i went back if he didnt say that i would have done it on my own.
and yes he did help me return the wheels after all 4 got those yellow oxidation squiggles ALL over the wheels like 3 months after purchasing. i know mrr was being whack because they refused to believe what happened(i even called them myself and argued cause i didnt think the situation was getting anywhere after a week), even though the next set that came in started to develop the same problems again :pat: he said he paid for half the shipping cause mrr refused to cover that. i appreciate that if its true. i guess im just still salty i even had to pay shipping to only get 4 more wheels with fukn squiggles. fuck mrr! yes i know its cheap but come on i never even use wheel cleaner on top of that i used wheel wax to protect it! thats some bullshit if you ask me cause i drive from garage to garage the wheels hardly saw the outdoors.
oh and dont make me bring up the 250 dollar "cold cathode tubes" that i paid another 100 or 200 or something to get installed as footwell lighting. i guess 6 inch led tubes cost a lot back then? oh and the install! my dome light still doesnt work! ive owned this car 2 years without a properly working domelight. it took almost a year of back and forth with some of his install guys to get to work on it but no one got back to me quickly. he then sent me to eurosports to do it and they didnt seem too stoked on cleaning up old wiring problems.
ANYway ive been over that subject for the longest.
im not trying to slander shit. theres no need to. that was just a little smart ass comment i made. i didnt even think too many people would catch that. :smiley-rofl:

Don't get me started on WALD's fitment...
My $100+ fog BRACKET kit (on top of $300 for the fogs) includes a few springs. Yeah, my fogs are suspended by springs. They had to be cut in half to even have the slack to stay suspended, and even then, my driver's side pops out of alignment after driving the car.

Well first off let me say it was good talking to you again after what 3 years??? lol shit finally gitting it done, and I gotta say your car is F'in clean. If anything i wanna apologize for the fact that the fogs didn't fit I figured before the install that they would since every other F50 kit I worked on bolted the JDM/their own fogs fine or with lil modding. I felt bad after most of the installs cause I wasn't able to git the fogs to work with the kits factory mounting tabs and such, plus the 1/2 inch gap I saw top or bottom (pending on mount of fog). I didn't want to cut the kit since it was paint and thats not exactly my cup of tea if you would say heh heh. I also talked to Joe later and he had the paper work translated that the kit had to be "trimmed" to fit the fogs, but I'm not sure how much exactly. Note after reading the post that you might not want the LED's, all the work I did the completely reversible. the two LED strips in the front I installed were mounted with their factory bolts to a few brackets I had, and used the resistor packs they gave to keep the signals from flashing rapidly. so they can be taken off if you so choose (you wouldn't even know i installed them lol). even the rear lights (which I like by the way) can be removed and disconnected since I used plug type connecters instead of hard wiring completely. As for the Dome light issue I know awhile back that Mikey asked me to take a look, but honestly at the time I was working like 7 days a week and wasn't sure who you were at that time so I did go out of my way to help.. and I apologize for that. I don't want drama to come about or any hard feelings. If anything else is need just let me know and once again thank you for giving me the chance to work on a MP F50 kit. ANd let me add it fit a crap load better than the JP kit lol peace
