94 LS400 No power to anything :(

'Scuse my absence, I've been leaving the house more now that it's nice :)

I picked up my LS400 the other day, and it starts, runs, drives absolutely fine, but nothing electrical works. Seats don't adjust and don't heat, sunroof is dead, windows are dead, door locks are dead, radio is dead, climate control is dead, instrument cluster, button lights, head lights, turn signals, brake lights, all dead.

The only things that work are the hazard lights and dome light.

What could I be missing to make these all work?

have you checked the fuse box? i know its a silly suggestion but sometimes it could just be that, I dont know if you have checked it or not yet...

Don't forget to check the fuses in the engine bay. From the sounds of it I would say it is one of the fuses under your hood but take a half hour and inspect all your fuses make sure none are burnt out and make sure they are all pressed in all the way. Hopefully thats the problem ... if its something else you might be getting in to a huge pita ammount of wire checking and re running but its prob just a fuse problem. good luck and I hope it doesnt take you to long to fix this electrical problem.

I inspected every single fuse, it turned out to be just #31, the 120amp cartridge under the hood.

Replaced that and enjoyed the glory of having power [i]everything[/i]. It's absolutely amazing. Going from a car that has no power accessories whatsoever (my Proteges) to some that has every accessory you can think of is absolutely mind blowing.

sounds like the DOME fuse went dead. mine blew when i was tinkering if my power folding mirrors.

Nice pick up and yes, it's a day / night difference from an economy car to a true luxury car!  Can't wait to see what you got in store for it.
