Carbon Fiber...

Would Carbon Fiber be a part of having VIP Style... such as having exterior body accessories, interior accessories, or even rims being carbon fiber?

- or is it all about chrome/wood grain...

It's %100 up to you. If you think you can pull it off and make carbon fiber look clean and classy then give it a try.

This one is tricky. If it is not used correctly, it can come out looking like a race car. I would say don't over do it. Anything is possible, it is all about excecution.

Nice sig. I gave you rep points for it

real CF is very expensive and custom, so yes it is possible. however, as stated, it can't be over done or it looks barebones race car rather than luxury..

with the new direction of vip i'd say carbon fiber is very acceptable, but like agi said it's all about the exectuion (as with anything).

i asked this question a couple years ago and got some different responses.

well, im not trying to overdo it either... right now my carbon fiber lists includes a carbon fiber front lip, grille with black pearl mesh, apr f1 mirrors (the real deal), hks carbon ti exhaust, and a razo carbon fiber/black chrome shift knob!

also, this is all going on a black onyx car... so it shouldn't be too noticeable

it's not really about how much or little you use or where you use it, it's about working with the overall flow of your build.

it's kind of like the new vents/holes everywhere trend. on some of the sportier new style builds they look ok when done right, then there's a car right next to it built in the more traditional luxury style and it looks retarded. some look good with more, some look good with less, can't go wrong with none. lol.

being on a black car makes it pretty hard to mess up.

If you're going for a straight VIP build, IMO I don't think it would really stay true to how VIP should be built. Now if you're just doing VIP styling here and there, then build it how you see fit and how you like it.

You could partially paint the CF pieces on the exterior, exposing only a little bit of the weave to make it even more subtle.

its being sold from pillars to micro film in Japan...i was considering going carbon fiber BMW M5 fender inserts and carbon fiber pillars, i suppose it will look better with gun metal, or black chrome, but i decided to go with a colored wheel so i decided otherwise

^^^whats a straight VIP build???i dont get it

I have some carbon on my car but I agree with the rest, it does make it seem more Sporty than VIP. Although, I was reading the April issue of VIPCAR, and I saw a couple Celsiors rocking some carbon. In fact, there was one with Carbon Vinyl instead of real carbon, but the car looked awesome.

I think with a black car, it's easier to blend in. I think the mirrors and exhaust would make it look too sporty, but the rest may work.

Once you get that there is no point to vip, everything else will come natural lol. Functional is a word that does not exist. You will see fake satilite radio antena fins, fake bumper sensors, fake dual exhausts, non functional vents etc. VIP is all astetics. This is why you only see engines done up on 1 of 10 vip cars in Japan.

I don't think any CF works with the whole luxury thing, but thats just me. I think the CF parts especially hoods/trunks/fenders give it a race look. Again thats just me. I prefer the wood/chrome over the CF.

The hood on my GS is CF but I just painted it over all black and installed some aerocatch hood pins to keep things as subtle as possible.

im not into the hood, trunk, and fenders being carbon fiber... just what i have listed - like small interior pieces/exterior items!

ill be replacing my wind covers on windows, chrome dipping the window trims, and then im thinking of doing my pillars in a CF cover. On black cars, CF usually looks pretty subtle.
That being said, i believe i can chuck as much CF on my car as I want. I crank out near 400rwhp on daily tune. :P
