and no,im am not on aftermarket air suspension.all my '01 UL has is a Data Systems controller and latley its been acting up on me.thats why im going to ditch the controller and the air struts and i'll be going with some coilovers.before this picture i was riding on setting "3".while driving home i setted it to setting "6" and it felt like i was doing a 3 wheel motion.this has happened many times since i've owned the car and im finally fed up with it.i dont know if its the controller itself or the factory ride height sensors:confused:.
im just wondering if anyone else that uses the Data Systems controller ever had problems with them.
i had same issue.. but it was just my two front going up.......and it's not the controller

I've run into the same issue b4, there is a thread on it on CL. What I noticed in someways which kind of makes since as well....is if you have someone riding in the back of the seat....I notice that it raises itself sometimes.....and I wonder if its b/c its trying to keep a smooth ride and it notice that there has been weight added. 2nd I usually dont play w/ the suspension while driving b/c while it trys to set itself the car is going up and down...not sure if that confuses the controller or not. But I use to have that issue. But for along time....I haven't seen it do that to my car.....when I put it on a setting, I have the car in parked and wait for it to be completely done...then drive off......(thats just my experience with it.)

Those tail lights look really, really nice. You should debadge the LEXUS and the LS430 from the back it'll look way cleaner.
When I saw the first pic I thought you put fog lights in your bumper like an old benz

Sucks. I hope you get it sorted out.
LOL I used to park sideways all the time. Sometimes with the rear up. That made it easy to get the groceries out of the trunk. All the old people just thought my car was broken all the time. I would act all shocked like I didn't know why the car was "acting up"

that sucks.. is that the factory OEM Air?
Here is what i would do. is its already oem bagged.. by pass that controller and add valves and a compressor and 3 gal tank. and re hose the system..

:yahoo_39: Interesting. Sorry to hear about your difficulties, it even makes me cringe . I have read assorted reviews on the stock air suspension - reasons why I did not purchase an air equipped LS. I cannot wait to see your car after the suspension revamp - keep us posted.

Just sell me your whip, I'll fix the airbags when I slap on some airrunners. I'll trade you for some food Biggie.

Damn... sorry to hear about your issues...
808Customs mentioned something very interesting... I know the controller and OEM air system is pretty slow... but would adding aftermarket components decrease the service life of the OEM bags??? What pressure can the OEM bags handle??? Would you first integrate pressure sensors to the OEM system and analyze pressures etc., so that you know your limits and parameters for the OEM bags and design an add-on aftermarket set-up accordingly???

yeah that would be a good idea but,i wanna be able to ride some what "low" with some kind of comfort.heres my daily ride height.
at this height its a little bouncy.feels like im rolling on cut springs.and from what i remember with my UAS system on my old GS,riding that low felt pretty smooth.i wish i could go with an aftermarket air suspension but thats not gonna happen.damn recession!!!!:signdammit:so i would rather just replace the air struts with conventional springs or coilovers.dont know which route im gonna go yet.but im leaning towards Tein CS coilovers.

i think thats exactly right. if im not mistaken you arent supposed to change the settings while driving the car or while you have it in gear. that has always been my understanding of those controllers.
