Trying to make a definative wheel maker and reseller guide

I am hoping to get a bit of help and figure out who makes what for who.
Their are only a few actual wheel makers in the world and the rest are just designers and resellers.
If you KNOW ,not GUESS, post up so i can add it.
I will add some examples but may be wrong.
thanks

The ones mentioned i do know of from wholesale/distributers i know.
I also have a few rim bibles which listed some of them in the sub text on the pages.

The JP scara's have 2 designs the one used now is OZ and the ones previously made where by enkei , i can't find a pic for the life of me but the actual spoke design was different.
It was more soft on the edges .

I agrees tons of oem wheels are made by Rays (350z),Enkei (3.2TL ) and BBS ISF but that list is way 2 long .

Never heard of blackfleet but i will add it anyway if someone wants to correct anything posted please let me know.

What is the truth , if you have an idea or if you know something i don't then spit it out .

That list is pretty misleading.

What is misleading ?

I tried to post pics of the original enkei scara's on Friday which you would have seen by now if the site wouldn't keep locking up.
file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/ADMINI%7E1/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot-2.jpgThis is the best online pic i could find of the original one with really fat spokes and a wide curve of its edges as well.

Enkei ,fat wide spoke
OZ ,curve spoke from fat to thin
Work, one look like it returns to a thinner version of the straight spoke

The last scara by OZ

Sorry, I'm not sure as to what this thread is supposed to do. Enkei makes AME... that's a pretty significant one.

Look man, i'm sure we all appreciate your integrity (which is not the issue at hand), but before posting up a thread that states "A Definative Wheel Maker and Reseller Guide" IMO you should have spent more time w/ your personal research. Yes there are others that know manufact info as well, but you can't expect them to just pop up and complete your purpose. I am not making any attempt to call you out, but you cannot snap at peeps for commenting/questioning your posting (esp if corrections/additions are being made). The community appreciates people like you who want to contribute, but false or incomplete info will create some scrutany. Remember this is your brain-child, with a Definative title, so peeps expect for you to have the info ready-made. If you want to edit your thread title to "A Collaboration for the Definative Wheel Maker and Reseller Guide" then you may get more of the response your looking for...

I have posted this 3 times trying to add pics and it keeps giving me a 500 error.

Sorr if i am sounding like i am snapping , i do not mean it that way i am jsut really straight forward and do not use smileys so it gets lost.
I have adjusted the title to make it more friendly .
AME added ,riverside i am trying to find more info on as with SSR .
ralliart has a special edition with OZ wheels but the larger non16 inch one is by rays.

i think the fail part of this thread is the word "definative".. similar to car manufactures, one company made something for another company's project doesn't mean they made everything.

toyota cavlier is made by chevy....does that mean all lexus/toyota made by them? what about those old chevy nova, no not the muscle car but the ugly fwd one...they are toyota corolla too some 20 years ago....if you are going to list them at least be specific with the rim model...

i knew some of the advan line is made by enkei, the fabulous genesis is made by enkei, new jp scara and jp hertiage III is made by work. og racinghart c2 multipiece is made by work. some old moda is made by bbs etc etc....

other than to know just for the hell of it i don't really see the point of this. i have a set of jdm bbs red mcgard nut lugs and not like i can order it straight from mcgard even though i am a distributor for them and i knew they are made in usa.

unless you want to talk about how some companies use that own center caps on other wheels...if that case i think vlene and session have their own caps for the work varianza line.

I think the worst part of this thread is you saying that Rays makes Work. That is the falsest thing ever. And it's still not fixed.

Veilside Andrew V Version I were made by Work

Because wheel lines are made by multiple manufacturers it seems you can never get a solid answer unless you go wheel by wheel. I am a wheel ***** but that is a lot of work!

True enough , over the years their have been many small wheels made specific to companies for small runs.
Those i am not really interested in as it will be way too much info .
I am just looking for the big ones who always have them made by them.
I know their are tons of companies who sell rims but their are only a few companies who actually make them.
Most low level rims come out of a manufacture in taiwan (i think) advanti racing .
Part of which is why i made this thread as a crack head i know told me advanit makes a whole bunch of name brand wheels for sellers.

There is just so much changing in ownership fo designs that this thread would be useless. Plus most of the info is made with "I think" statements. No proof.

Mackin industries AKA ray division makes way more rims than most people imagine.
Most manufactures only have one location . Rays has over 5 plants building rims in Japan alone.
It is part of the reason for the thread to see who really makes your rims.

Yea this is so iffy and wishy washy just because so many change, become absorbed, or cross make. To really do it correctly, you would have to list individual wheels + years. That is the only way I know of. I am a self-proclaimed wheel *****, but I still get lost in who makes who. To be definitive, you would need to talk to each company direct.

Blitz, I may be wrong, but I always thought Weds was in house by themselves. Could be wrong easily though.
