fitting 5x114 rims on a 5x120 car?

Yes, you can get adapters.
 
Im running  5x120 wheels on a 114.3 hub.
 
made to order, ships with in 5 days.
 
or you can redrill, depends on the wheel type.

I tried to put my auto coutures on the benz,  The studs don't lineup correctly.

you mean your 114.3 wheels to a 112 pcd?

check out adaptitusa.com.  I order a pair of 25mm adapters from them and received them in about 9 business days.  They offer almost any conversion you can think of provided its the same number of lugs

Yes, the 114.3 don't quiet bolt up to the 112.  The studs are off center,  You can grind the hole a little with a dremel but without modification, they don't line up.

You have 2 options that work.
1. drill the opening slightly as some are very tight.
then buy wobble /variation nuts online for $100 that allo the head to be offcenter but still allowing it to be tight and seated.
2. buy the adapters with a 2nd set of bolt patterns to switch it.
3. send them to be welded and redrilled.

well you're wrong and right. that's 3 options but only 2 work.
 
wobble bolts are for 2mm differences. ie 112 to 114.3, 98 to 100, etc. they will not work 114.3 to 120.

Sk, like I posted on clublexus I am running 5x112 wheels on my 5x114.3 Q45 with variation lugs.  

No drilling needed to fit them on my car.  The reason it fits is because most Benz and other European manufactuers use 14mm studs while many Japanese companies use 12mm.   This means the opening on the wheels is just large enough to accomodate the 12mm studs.

Correct that you can not use the varation lugs to go 5x114.3 to 5x120.

funny my last set of wheels we test  fitted 5x114.5 on a audi A8  5x120 work but 4 lugs would allow for tightening down

You are right , i should have read 120 but instead thought 112 .
I need to stop posting in the middle of the night so i will start reading and thinking at the same time.
BTW thanks to AMEvip for teaching me about variation nuts as it opens up so many possibilites.

No worries.  There aren't many people who use variation lugs.  Many tire/wheel shops have never even heard of them.  My friend with an 09 A4 wants to get some wobble studs to use 5x114.3

better to just buy my 5x120 19*10 +24  rays lexion 201 wheels instead...=)
