Where did u guys find the jdm kouki headlight and taillight beside japan or some asia country? also do i really need the under headlight piece if i want to install kouki headlight! pls help! Also i know air suspension is good....but what is the price range for those (usd)? if i lower my van do i need the panhard rod?

If I am understanding your question correctly regarding the lights, you cannot buy them here in the U.S. They will have to be bought from one of the vendors or through a Japanese source. If they can't help you find one, have them contact me and I'll help them. You do not necessarily need the lower trim but having it you will get rid of that empty middle space on the USDM piece as well as the lower indentation. But wait you may want it to hold the grille =p Air runner is $3,699 USD. PM me if you need any other help. And do not buy lights from eBay, they usually rip you off and they're used.

I believe the Toyota Lucida is available in Canada, why not just work on one of those. It would be something different.

I know that you said that you are planning on air, keep in mind that there are no bolt on kits out there.  Every kit requires some moddification (Mdenoga correct me if I am wrong) but I do believe that is the case even with the Air Runners.  I am currently on a Silk Road Coil-Overs with UAS System and it took a whole lot of Moddification to make it work.  I love it as I still have "Dampening" Settings plus I still have the option of raising my Coil-Overs higher/lower so "If" I get a Kit I can always have the 0 PSI set so I don't mess up the kit.  LOL

You will need to get yourself the Lateral Bar, which can only be found in Japan.  If you do lower your Egg and don't have one you will find that you will be shredding your Drivers Rear Tires.

Although you stated that you are interested in going air, FYI I do have some TEIN Coil-Overs For Sale

Unfortunately these would not work with the UAS system (like I have) due to the diameter of the Suspension.  I am just giving you options if drop a couple grand is not an option and that you would not mind rolling on some Coil-Overs.  But my advice is to always do it right the first time around.  If you already have your mind set on Air don't settle for anything less and save up for it.  Although I really want to move my Coil-Overs don't want you "wasting" money.  Been there, done that.  Saying things like that is probally why I still have not been able to sell my Coil-Overs.  LOL  I guess I have to find someone who just wants to run Coil-Overs.  LOL

Can u get the headlight w/ trim and complete taillight b4 june 9....because i will be heading to La to import a van back to canada!.....what is the price range about the frt and rear tail lights....in canada there is no Lucida....unless RHD
 
sukoshiyoshi: how about lower springs? is the ride good enough? or coilovers better? because in toronto, canada.....they use salt for winter....even if i don't drive the egg in winter and store it indoor....coilover will still get corrsion @ the adjuster sleeve... if i am interest about the coilovers..how long and how much it will take to ship to LA?
 
Currently i am toyota mechanic....and i know how to fix non-s/c previa inside out ....but going to VIP style.....hopefully u guys can help me out because i got no clue.....
 
One more question
what i have to watch out when i come over the LA and buy a S/C previa?...

P.S. Canada Custom is a big rip off.....if i ask u guys ship the stuff to toronto....i will be tax crazy....example... my buddy got a $1usd sticker for his car....and he got charge $20cdn for tax....therefore i hope i can get as much stuff as possible if i import the car back to toronto, canada!

Personally I would take Coil-Overs over Springs any day.  If you get Springs and it isn't low enough or worse yet, it is too low you are......out of luck.   It is great to have the "adjustability" as well as the "Dampening" that the Tein Super Wagon Coil-Overs offer.  Sure they cost more than Springs but if you are deciding between Springs or Coil-Overs I would think that it is a no brainer and suggest Coil-Overs, and honestly I am not saying that because I have a set of Coil-Overs For Sale.

In response to the "salt" issues......not too sure what you can do as here in Hawaii we are more concerned about the "Salt Air" than the Salt on the roads.  LOL  I would just apply some WD-40 when ever I need to adjust height.  I also when ever washing my car would try to wipe it down.  But I also found that if you have a lot of dirt on their, it also could work as a rust prohibitor (sp).  LOL

Do you have the exact address in California that you would like the Estimate for shipping?  I will ask how much for both Shipping via Air and Slow Boat as well as "Estimated" time.  

I am currently on my second S/C Egg and not too sure to tell you what to look out for except for the obvious AC Blowing Cold, Oil Leaks, Drive Shaft Linkage, Damage to the Oil Pan, etc.  But figure you would know what more to look for begin that you are a Toyota Tech. 

Did you PM EstimaStyleWgnClub about the Kit?  You might as well pick that up too if he still has it.  Also get back to me on the Address for the Shipping Quote.

Air runner kit for the Toyota Previa is all bolt on except the rear which requires minor welding. And you can adjust the dampening as well.

BTW, you just pmed me regarding my cusco panhard bar. I am no where near Los Angeles almost like 300+ miles. As for the lights, it can be done but why not just pay to have it shipped to Canada. Also why not just buy a previa in Canada. One of our vendors had a RHD Estima for sale before. I'll try to find the thread.

my import vehicle trip will be starting @ LA...., SF, Portland, Seattle, Vancouver...then all the way back to toronto....so i will be passing by your area to pick up the panhard rod....
 
To buy a previa in canada, first of all....99% are rust a the rear quarter panel (both side)...even if i get it fix, it will start to rust again no later than 3 yrs (my family owned 4 previa...so i know)....also....in toronto...there is hardly or close to zero of getting rwd s/c...becoz every1 hate rwd in winter....and lastly...my wife and i enjoy driving...actually she was the one want to have a road trip like that....For 2 way trip....i don't think i have time and effort to drive it....but one way trip....i think i am still okie to make it happen!
 
Why i don't want to get it ship to canada?....because i had experience before from order a arc intercooler kit for my 98 240sx....(6 yrs ago)....the kit was @special deal....1300usd....but i pay shipping was cost like 300usd...and then after i received the kit....i have to pay extra 300cdn for the tax and duty....since i am coming over to get the van and i am staying in usa for about one week, me and my wife both of us will get tax exempt...for up to 750cdn/person.....

As I stated I do have the S/C version, but wish that I got without.  Figure it would save me money at the pump.  Plus I don't drive fast so there is really no need for the S/C for me.  Also please tell me that the Egg that you will be looking at has Captain Chairs and the Dual Moon Roof.  Yet another two options which I wish I had held out for when I was looking for my Ver 2.0.  Good luck with your purchase.

I always want the s/c version....because i have owned 3 not s/c.....currently i am driving a 92 w/dual sunroof and a cool box....therefore i have promised myself that i will definitly get a s/c version w/dual sunroof....plus this project is going to be my summer only...so gas is not a problem..eventhought a lot of ppl told me that eat sucks gas w/ s/c version...

i have a friend from LA selling his Previa.. he just rebuilt the whole motor.. lemme know if interested

Previas are becoming increasingly hard to find, well at the a perfect one with all the right features. I'm currently been looking for the past few months, mainly looking for Dual sunroofs, swiveling captain chairs, leather is a bonus, S/C too. 

It's ridiculously hard to find one in California within those parameters, I'm not giving up though.

u just miss one.....in mid april....there is a 97 previa, dual sunroof, leather seat, s/c,rwd sold for 3700usd....but in orange county....

Yea I saw a Gold one on OC CL, but i don't think it was leather. I might have to fly out to the east coast to pick up a 95.

does your friend's previa have sunroof and it is rwd....i am assume it is s/c??....how come i saw lot of post...when ppl selling their s/c previa.....either engine rebuild or s/c only forsale? is it always blown headgasket or hardly any ppl maintain the van? or CA is just too hot for those van and ppl driving too crazy?

i just got the info.. he has the captains chairs but no s/c and no dual moon roofs.. a lot of people commute like crazy in LA so a lot of miles on the car.. means have to be rebuilt sooner or later.

rebuild is not a problem....i don't know about US.....but canada....we can put used motor.....and i have done it couple times...as long as it body is good shape and it will last another 6000miles so i can drive back home!

I'm currently driving a beater Previa with bench seating in the middle, and i thoughtl it would be funny to flip the middle bench in reverse  like limo seating. has anyone done that? it's actually pretty cool.

there is a 95 s/c rwd sunroof forsale in LA.....96 s/c sunroof in orange county 4sale!

thanks for looking out dacatz, i'm currently in touch with a few sellers in california right now. are you planning to get a body kit for your previa? anyone in particular? real jdm stuff or the knockoff frp?

Give me a feedback on those Previa....because i am still looking for one....for the bodykit i am getting estimastylewgn's used body kit for now.....does anyone know if that kit is okie or not?

that kit looks bad ass, I'd jump on that in a heart beat.

I think i briefly got in touch with the 95 sc owner, she says it's in good running condition with the dual sunroofs, apparently it's leather interior too, but i haven't personally check them out. I have to wait till finals are over after this week. I have my eye on a 1997 right now.

Look closely on the pics for that 95 sc owner (gold color/ leather int.)in L.A. craiglist.....the interior pics are from Camry...so becareful....
 
really? there is a 97 ones? but....97 previa have couple things changes...i don't know if u like it or not? Here is the list of the changes for 97 and 96
 
1.) Friction loss has been reduced through the use of valve springs with lower spring tension, thus improving fuel economy.
 
2.) The Separated accessory drive system's No 3 equipment drive housing stay and the intake air tube No. 2 stay have been increased in rigidity to reduce the noise associated with the superchager system.
 
3.) Front brake using single type piston instead of dual piston
 
4.) Abs actuator has been changed from a 3-position solenoid valve type to a 2-position solenoid valve type
 
5.) Brake contol valve w/ abs system (located @ the left rear wheel being remove and integrated with the master cylinder
 
96 Previa changes made compare to 95
 
1.) all model are supercharged (in Canada s/c model was 4wd only in 95)
 
2.) srs airbag system is now the single sensor assembly type
 
3.) A/c is now standard equipment and operation of the compressor is now linked to the defrost mode.
 
Above info are from toyota canada inc. 1996 and 1997 new car features booklet!

i guess their main goal was to lower cabin noise.
Well for me, i'm gonna see how much the 97 will be negotiated to, if it's too much, i might go for the 95 then. 
I'm asking to meet up to see the 95 sometimes this week, if i choose not to pursue that one, i'll keep you posted on it.

well...in canada....we have to service the slider pin for dual pistons calipers every year....if not 99% of the caliper piston will be seized.....also...dual calipers tend to get more vibration and weaker pedal feeling....also....because they change the abs system......maybe it is more sensitive...so single pistons caliper will have less vibration causing the abs to come on....
