JDM wheel air nipple torque question
I just got some new wheels and the nipples were not installed. How tight are they suppose to be? I used some lube on the rubber seals and tightened to what I thought was enough. Does it need to be as tight as possible or just a good amount where the rubber doesn't start bubbling out? TIA

Not exactly sure but every time I have new wheels come in for customers, I tighten them as much as possible. No issues yet

Good question. On my Maya's I just did them up very snug front and back. I just wanted them as tight as I could without breaking a stem (happened to my friend recently with new Volks) and without bulging the rubber seals too much.

ok...well I think I put enough pressure on them but nothing super crazy. I noticed that the outer and inner rubber come together and one is slightly smaller and slip into the bigger piece. I believe the outer (exposed part) was bigger and the one inside the tire was smaller. anyways thanks for the tips.

The most you can probably go without damaging the grommets is about 60 in-lbs.
