I bought these wheels to keep me satisfied until I can afford to order some baller lxz's

Specs are:

Weds Kranze (model unknown)

20 x9 offsets to weak to mention...
20x10 offsets to weak to mention...

tires i'm considering are 225-35 and 245-35

The wheels are currently painted silver, i will be breaking them down here in the next couple days and getting them refinished. I may go back with the silver, but not sure. If i can find someone to do like "burning black" or "black chrome" that would be dope.

would have never thought that wheel would look that good on a y50.

don't hold out on the specs. if i had an m i would want to know what those were cause that's some great fitment. numbers are for nerds.

yea, i'm not feeling the white/black....I have decided on what i am going to do though....

i talked to my polisher, he is going to do the lips full polished.... i am having him just dip the faces in acid bath (striip them) them i am goin to have them clear coated, that should give a machined type look. IF that doesn't turn out, i am just going to go back with silver

the strip alone won't give you a machined look (really nothing but machining will) but you can hit it with sandpaper/scotchbrite for a nice brushed look. machined is called machined because it is machined, i.e. small tight lines engraved in the face. brushed can be similar depending on how you go about it.

on a mesh wheel with such thin spokes it's really splitting hairs anyway.

i agree.. i'm generally opposed to pandas but mostly because of how it's done over here, i.e. cheap black housing lights, spray painted tails, cheap black wheels, carbon fiber/painted/overlayed hoods/roofs/trunks. usually not a fan at all, however with the new japanese vip builds going the way they are i've seen some well executed black/white themed cars. example:

with a sportier car like the y50, and since the op's already has a 2 tone look goin on, seemed like a logical choice to me.

personally i like the lip/body to be the same color cause when the stance is right it ties it together but it's personal preferance i suppose. as long as you're workin with a theme and everything flows, anything goes.

Leave them the way they are. Black or white lips don't look good. Black lips make your tires look like they have huge sidewalls and white lips make it look like they're made out of plastic.

as far as the wheels go, i am just gonna clean them up and run them as they are. they are not near perfect but they will do until i can afford the get them re done.

I like color matched wheel lips. They'll be alot harder to sell later.
It's actually becoming alot more popular in Japan as well.
If you plan on keeping them for a while do what you want with them. If you have Wheel ADD like most of us leave them as is.

That's too funny, I'm stealing that right there son. :)

I've always been a fan of big phat chrome/polished lips. But after going on some of these websites and playing with barrel, lip, and face colors...it's growing on me.

With that said, I still stick to the more common stuff like white face chrome lip, black face chrome lip etc.

I've seen some cars with 3pc wheels with each piece painted seperate colors, just cause they can. It's all good, but I've always been a "less is more" kinda guy.
