LXZ on the F50...I'm stuck

I'm stuck. The rears have a couple mm before the body touches the tire. What do you guys think? Go smaller tires or do a pull? I'm not sure if a pull will be even enough? Any ideas? I've never done a pull...I don't even know where to go to get one done. I'm new to body work so I'm not sure if I can even attempt this. 275/35 Falken ST-115. These run small so true size would be more like 265/35. If I am going smaller and more stretch tire I think 255 would be ok huh? Width of the wheel is 10.5 in the rear.

Fronts are ok...Haven't tried driving yet to see if it touches anything. If it does I think I'll just camber it in more with the camber plate.

actually I don't even know if it touches on the inside wheel if I turn. These are 10 width up front.

My brother calls these wheels monster truck wheels...says looks like wheels you see on suburbans/yukons and stuff...lol

Nice wheels. If you never done a pull, don't attempt one on your car. You will wind up having to pay more money to repair it if you mess up.

If you have a shop do it properly, you will need to respray your quarter panels. Technically, any shop should be able to do it for you but results will vary. The Q fenders can be pulled pretty far out so you shouldn't have any issues. Just make sure they don't over pull because the rears will camber in slightly when you drop it. Drop it to get an idea. From there, messure the distance and add a few mm's on top of that because the fender edge won't go to the actual rim due to the tire.

hmm...I think I'll just get some smaller tires. The more economical way to go. I can always sell these tires and recoup most of it.

What is a pull? do they bang the shape out and then smooth it out? or do they literally pull on the fender edge or something? I don't get it. Sorry...new to body stuff.

smaller tires might be a decent temporary solution, since you shouldn't really do the body work until your stance is on point, but it's probably not a permanent one. although, depending on how your car cambers (not much from my understanding) you may not need much or any fender modification. you're pretty close.

as far as the pull, just take it to a shop. even if you don't mess it up the shop work will be cleaner with proper body work. pulls are done by pushing the backside of the arch out. shoulda called it a "push", not a "pull".

Smaller tires is my vote. Im not sure how the F50s work with frame in relation to body work, but it looks like from the height of the side skirts you could go lower too. At that point, it would seem smaller tires would help you fully drop and get lower without gap. Plus, like said above puling/cutting/modding fenders can get tricky, even for professionals. Tires are temp- see how that looks, and if it doesnt cut it, then you can move onto the more permanent solution of modding the fenders.

on a 10.5 j wheel a 235 tire would still be fine.

city tire online here in la can roll/pull your fenders no problem. they can set your ride height there aswell, and then get an alignment if you want.

Thats a stretch. I had 245 on a 11" with not a lot of sidewall left, I can bet under hard turn, the wheel would touch the ground.

^ thats why you keep pressures high and basically dont do hard turns with big VIP cars and stretched tyres!

but i would say you could even go 245/35 pretty comfortably depending on brand, 255 definately. and add some camber..

Well recently started driving it again after I got the quarter worked on and installed a smaller tire. Here is how it sits...I'm thinking of lowering it some more this weekend but since the car is technically lower with the body kit not sure if I can make it into my work driveway. I think I must get air soon.

Here you can see the taillights. They were sprayed some kind of candy color. It gave more of a smoked look to me. I like it and lights are alittle dimmer at night which I really like.

I think I went one size too small on the rear tire. I jumped from a 275 to a 255. I think I could have settled for 265. Next set I will try 265.

I think the most I can do is get the fender half way on the tire but that would mean my car would be very low and would not be able to drive to most places. I must get air...but not right now. Have alot of money invested elsewhere.

It will actually help you get over bumps etc if you lower the rear more, you won't nose dive into bumps and curbs as much....I know because my girl has almost the same stance on her I35 and it needs to go down in the rear too.

Car looks sweet though. I agree about the visors, but if you like the purple look then keep it. It just makes me think of 5 year old cheap tint.....

Oh nice! I can't wait to see it lower. It will be complete!

Yep the Nittos actually run a bit small compared to other tires so the 255/35/20 is quite a big jump. So many options around this size. 255/35, 265/35, 265/30, 275/30

actually the quarter were "pulled" or whatever you want to call it. I don't know what they did but it is somewhat more flared out... they kept the factory line on there when they originally told me that it will be gone or faded out or something like that. When I went to go pick it up I was suprised the factory line was still there. They said they had to do alot of work with welding pieces and such so that it had some structural strength. I'm not sure what they did but abit of bondo was used to clean it up and thats all I know. I'm not a body guy so no clue.

Man I don't know if I can go any lower. I've been driving around this week and going over apexing driveways it seems like my side skirts are scraping even if I do a 40-60 degree angle. I don't want to angle more then that because the lips are sticking out of the tires and it would kill me to drop my rim on a gutter step.

This is a pic of the left rear with no modifications except a trim on the inner lip of the quarter.

This is a pic of the same corner but after I spent an arm and a leg flaring it out abit. Subtle but it's there.

I'm not 100% sure...but I think they painted the whole quarter and some of the bumper and blended everything in...oh yeah he said they had to paint the door abit to blend in also...something in the lines of that.

BTW I think I'll have the spring out of the front struts this weekend...I keep forgetting about it since its tucked away in a box and been busy with my Ruckus.

Wow that is subtle. Unless you look closely at a factory F50 quarter you wouldn't notice a difference.

I chipped the edges when I was rolling the fenders on mine. For now I've touched it up but just wondering how much painting is needed to make it right.

Copy that on the springs. Shoot me a pm when you are ready to go.

I chipped the edges when I was rolling the fenders on mine. For now I've touched it up but just wondering how much painting is needed to make it right.

Copy that on the springs. Shoot me a pm when you are ready to go.

I've heard Nissan paint does not flex well. You could heat it and roll it but it's still inevitable at some point. Before you do any painting think about doing the flare/pull and everything to save yourself some money. If I would have known I was going to get wider (more like lower offset). Then I wouldn't have cut my fender to begin with but I had no idea I would have gone this far. I wasn't planning on selling my Rezax but I did anyways.
