Independent Fogs

What's going on Folks. I've got an A33 and need to know if anyone has an idea of how to get the Fogs independent from the headlight?? Any insight would be greatly appreciated...=)

Thanks for the link. I found one for an A32 but the ones on this link are much better. I may have to give this a shot during my lunch break. I'll let you know how it turns out.

It was raining so i didn't have a chance to get this done and I leave for California tomorrow so it looks like I'll have to do this when I get back.. In the mean time I thought I would post the links that I will be using. They look pretty straight forward.

It looks like I will have to do both to get the job done according to what I have read... I'll post pics once I get back from Vacation if it works...

I did mine like what was done in the first link except I spliced the wire directly to the front corner light. The only problem that i faced with this write up is that my wire colors were different than what was in the write up, so I just confirmed that I was cutting the correct wires with the FSM.

Just remember, when you cut a wire to leave enough slack so that you can re connect it if it's not the correct wire.

I got it all pulled apart and ready to cut and splice and realized I didn't have a soldering gun or a clamp/wire tap to finish the project properly so i put it all back together and will be trying it again after I get said parts etc.

I cut the Orange & Black and taped to the Blue and red w/ silver dots.

I stopped by a friends house to help him out the other day and did this when we finished. Only took a couple minutes and looks good. Be careful tho.. I blew a headlight fuse when I was testing which wire to cut...LOL.. One thing I do not like is that I have to have the Park Lights on for the fogs to be on. Not a huge deal tho.... Next on the list is HID's for the Fogs and Headlights and I'm getting a buddy to Retro fit FX35 Projectors to my headlights... I'll post pics of the progress once we start.

whos doing the retrofit for you and where abouts in boston you from im from plymouth have an a32 and now modding my f50 I'm looking into doing some major work on the headlights sometime soon. once I can convince my self to rip my headlights open still a little csary knowing the cost if I mess them up.

I live near near Jackson Square on the Orange line. If you want to do a Retro fit i would say get a spare set of headlights that way you can be on the safe sid if you mess up. I almost baught an f50 but I didn't have enough cash so I got the A33. Still may try and get one later on.
